Utterly inexcusable coming back in the state he's in. Smacks of arrogance to me. I'd take the contract off the table personally One times write off , there you go mate 👍

Really!? Looks all the same to me. Your literary making up rubbish about a player and selling it as gospel. You never attended any of his fitness assessments on return to pre season and you know nothing more than the rest of us. Are you really trying to write off our best player over the last 18 months because he looked a bit leggy in his first pre season games after a 3 month lay off. I'd get yourself an eye test pronto. Quite clearly carrying a lot more than usual IMO and many others have commented along the same lines also. And irony is a stunningly beautiful thing - you claiming I'm trying to "write off" our best player when I clearly haven't done anything close to that. And in case the irony is lost on you, "making up rubbish and selling it as gospel". You literally stated in a earlier post we should get rid of him. I would put that firmly in the realms of a write off.

You don’t know he turned up pre season out of shape, you should really stop spinning yarns. What do you mean? He's clearly put on a lot of a weight - I can see it with my own eyes? Really!? Looks all the same to me. Your literary making up rubbish about a player and selling it as gospel. You never attended any of his fitness assessments on return to pre season and you know nothing more than the rest of us. To clarify, I'm not saying it somehow makes JCH a poor player, or that we should sell him. I just don't think a professional footballer should be showing up in the shape he has - everyone else seems to have managed to stay in shape and, to be honest it's the least you expect from a professional sportsman. I just think it's very disrespectful in all honesty and, coupled with sitting on his contract extension for over half a year(?) I do think he's giving us the run around somewhat. Again, he's entitled to - but that alongside the lack of fitness could be construed as not giving us 100%, which I think is the least we deserve TBH. I get why he's loved by many - I'm a big fan too in the main - but, IMO, that doesn't mean he can get away with treating the club disrespectfully (which I appreciate is perhaps a matter of opinion at this point). You don’t know he turned up pre season out of shape, you should really stop spinning yarns.

Looks like we've got a lad on trial earmarked for the creative midfielder slot so I can't see us signing westbrooke. More chance of signing Daniella westbrooke for the creative midfielder role. What is it about us and Coventry players? I thought that link would've ended once GC packed his bags for field mill Daniella a done deal apparently

Especially when you play with just one out and out striker as we probably will. Bit of a wider issue in football as all fans want more strikers but it’s hard to attract a genuine number nine when a club has a clear first choice. We are a bit like Spurs - why would a number nine go there to compete against Harry Kane. Why would a decent league 1 or 2 striker come to rovers to play second fiddle to JCH? If we are going to play one up top, which I think we will too, it'll be interesting to see if where Nicholson and possibly Barrett will fit in. The top sides in the Premier League whether it be Liverpool, Man City, Utd, Chelsea and Leicester, all play with just the one out and out striker, and play with 2 wide Inside Forwards who all chip in with 10,15, 20 goals themselves. As do Brentford, imo the best Footballing team in The Championship. 442 is dead , went out with the dinosaurs 🦖

Maybe, with JCH now seeing tangible improvements and investment, it will see him sign a new contract ? I would like to think WAQ and his team would be all over this but we are talking about rovers so we never know Old Rovers maybe But these are a new rejuvenated Rovers, When JCH is good he's very good... but.... injury prone? By all accounts was operating at 80% last season. At 100% he’s to good for this league.

Totally depends on the formation, can see Craig starting but can only see Mensah or Bennett getting the nod if we change to a 433.

Even their own fans are wondering where this financial backing is coming from, certainly not from a sub 4000 average attendance. At least they are showing some intent, I dont think blowing £150k on Sercombe as a number one target shows that from us but happy to be proven wrong. They should ask Leyton orient how buying a load of championship journey men when your in league 1 works out.

Roofe was going up with Oxford so was in effect a L1 player - and where do you get these figures from guys ? Watkins going for 3 million ? Not convinced, he's not even prolific. Exeter turned down 2 million for him in January.

As Exeter sadly didn't make it out of League 2 today, what do we think the chances are of luring Ollie Watkins up the Gloucester Rd? David Wheeler might be a more realistic option.

Bert tan has been on the city site actively stating that the Rovers are being sold off. The debt has now mounted to about £10m the Al Qadis want out and are looking for a buyer. Has anybody heard this? This all sounds so very bad for the Rovers. Why has Bert Tann gone on the City site saying all this but not gone on to say anything on the Rovers site? i am really worried now for our existence. Fake news. Please delete

I think the days of fans having wip rounds for players are over . They earn more than enough to set themselves up after they retire.

What if all the one line jokes on here were not at all funny? What if the "funny" people were not at all funny? A comedian goes on a stage and finds out if he is funny by the reaction of his/her audience. People on here are free from judgement on how funny they are but i hardly ever laugh or smile at their "funny posts" Two oranges walk into a bar , one orange turns to the other and says "your round mate"

Doesn't seem the dc way to bring players in on mega buck before they have earned it . The budget will go up but I'm not sure if we're going to see any big money signings.
