Anyone think it's a little ironic that Labour have announced when they are elected they are going after tax dodgers!
Think they need to look a little closer to home first ๐๐๐

Well, precisely. Should party members over rule the will or diverse interests of the constituency as a whole? The conservative membership has shrunk a lot I think in the last 20 yrs , so it doesnโt take a lot of loons to vote in their preferred loon . They speak for the people ( so weโre told ๐๐) . Then we get Sunak on tv telling us absolutely no one is asking for a general election!! Labour party membership has reduced by 170,000 since 2018. They lost 25000 members in 2022 alone.

Just watched the Beautiful Game on Netflix. It's about the Homeless World Cup. Worth a watch. It's quite funny with Bill Nighy playing the England Coach.

I kid you not ,when I joined Lloyds Bank in Bristol in 1973 worked with a guy called Walter Closset, who does that to their kids๐คญ๐คญ I joined TSB in 1983 and we had a customer service officer named Phillip McAveety. It was incredible how many people shortened his first name and mispronounced his surname.

Was there once a lady called Fanny Tickler or was that a bit of an urban myth? There's a German Skier called Fanny Chmelar.

The end of free speech in part of the UK as Scotland's Hate crime act comes in to force. They're preparing J K Rowling's cell as we speak.

When have I advocated cutting benefits for the poorest? I just do not believe earning more on benefits than those who work. Surely that's logical. It gives an incentive for some to find a job and pay their way in life. Putting 20% on private school fees will put over 100,000 more children into state education as their parents some of whom work 2 or 3 jobs will no longer be able to afford the fees. It's not just the richest in society who pay for private education. Why not means test it before slapping the label of they must be rich because they sent their kids to a private school. Give me some examples of those that โearnโ more on benefits than working?ย As for the school fees โฆโฆcry me a fลฑcking river ๐ I give up. As I say you dismiss everybody else's view because it doesn't conform with yours or the loony left. Enjoy your break away.

A Motorhome...even more expensive my apologies. Why do you constantly dismiss views from other people. You may not agree but at least put forward an argument against like Stu does. I take it as you laughed your anti people with money (that seem somewhat hypocritical), anti parents wanting the best education for their children, and that people on benefits have every right to earn more than those people going out to work. Those are the only "3" points I raised and you laughed at them so you obviously believe in the opposite....Got it ! Just find it ridiculous you advocate cutting benefits for the poorest but then rail against VAT on school fees for the richest in our society. So ridiculous that a laughing emoji should tell you exactly what I think ๐๐ When have I advocated cutting benefits for the poorest? I just do not believe earning more on benefits than those who work. Care to enlighten me on that? I am not envious of people with money (unlike the left). I believe parents have the right to give their children the best education they possibly can without the envious left slapping 20% vat on top which will put over 100,000 more children into state education. (Have they actually stated how they will find those places and pay for the additional teachers). Wonder what Diane Abbot thinks about that policy? bearing in mind not all parents who pay for private education are millionaires, some work 2 or 3 jobs inorder to afford it. I don't believe in a benefit dependant state in that (with exceptions) you should not earn more in benefits than those working who are paying their taxes to fund the life style for those on benefits. Can't be arsed to go into everything else as you'll only come back with a negative reply. My vote is no more moronic than someone with enough funds to pay for a campervan voting labour! Itโs a motorhome ๐ Currently away in it a river dart country park. As for the rest of your postโฆ.. ๐๐ A Motorhome...even more expensive my apologies. It sounds like nonsense that will never be enforceable, but then you start to read about the training the police have been getting and what they will have to investigate if complaints are received. Standup at Edinburgh Fringe, conversations at family dinner tables, Youtube videos, threads on public forums.... It's yet to be 100% clarified but it looks like the law is also enforceable if you say/post something outside Scotland, it is reported/recorded by the police in Scotland and then you visit Scotland at a later date...all the while the police are no longer investigating petty theft or damage where there is no CCTV... The SNP are the worst kind of nanny state politicians. Had a thought, plenty of posts on here would qualify for hate crime๐คญ๐คญ Exactly I take great offence being referred to as a loon. That's Yatton banged up for 7 years then. ๐๐

Hope your all having a great Easter. In London Sadiq Khan will only be wishing you all happy Ramadan. Everything is fine if itโs a Tory , wrong if itโs labour. Thems Franceโs rules . Keep up ! ๐ Reading the article where does it state Jeremy Hunt committed tax evasion. It even admits he did not gain financially. Talk about scraping the barrel trying to find articles to justify Rayners actions we have an article from 6 years ago and someone who dropped his non dom status 14 years ago... ๐

There is a difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion ... one is perfectly legal the other isn't. So Lord Ashcroft had non dom status between 2000 and 2010 under..oh yes a Labour Government who had "10" years to scrap the non dom rules ensuring the tax was paid but failed to do so.
