If we were apparently willing to pay between £500k and £1m for JCH could a similar sum tempt M’Boro to let Coburn leave? Does he feature in their plans for next season? Would he be interested in taking a step down to progress his career - a decision Connor Taylor made the previous year? Does anybody left at the club even know Cobrun exists? George Friend was a legend at Boro so will know of Coburn.

We’ve been so unpredictable this season it’s hard to call. We were awful up there earlier in the season. I’d take a good performance and any kind of result tbh. It was one of the worst games of the season Remember going there with great confidence. Should have known!

How do you know that's the case, as the club has never suggested they were looking to sign a striker? I can't recall we were ever linked with one striker. It's typical Rovers over the years, sell our best striker for decent money and then wonder why we can't score, which is hardly MT's fault. There was a striker than we tried to sign. He turned us down. Wasn’t that Ennis who went to Stoke instead? Championship football and playing under his old manager Schumacher seemed a better bet probably.

Always hoped that he would become a coach/fitness specialist/ambassador for us after his playing days.
Great person to have around the club.

I’d have Max Ehmer up there as well.

Seems miles off. Matt Hall £50k? Never played a game and never likely to in professional football. Did we pay £100k for Connolly? He’s gone up by £350k when really he’s gone backwards! Id be tempted by Aguilera if he’s only going to cost £300k though 😁 Aguilera at £300k but Harry Vaughn £400k!

Certainly seems to be working hard judging by the number of new articles appearing.
Good to see.

Based on what? Not being able to get a tune out of the squad he said was full of potential? Not being able to organise the defense? Constantly moaning and blaming everyone else? He probably has the worst ppg, goals for and goals against out of all 3 this season...the blokes a clown Thought he had the best ppg after Orient and that was two weeks ago?

Shocking game made worse by that dreadful commentator who was clearly really enjoying our rubbish performance.
Almost unbearable listening to her but couldn’t face the thought of listening to the Lincoln commentary.

The old wooden 500 seater rugby stand was demolished in 1924 and in the summer of that year a 2000 seater stand including a paddock, dressing rooms and club offices were built. The ground at that time was rectangular and the layout was changed to an ovoid type in 1932 to accommodate a greyhound track. What was the paddock for if the greyhound track only appeared later? Didn’t this just mean the standing enclosure in front of the stand?

Not to forget 19 April 1974 away at Southend!
Nil nil draw but promotion guaranteed before the last game of the season at home to Brighton.
Not many of us there ( about 1000?) as it was a Friday night and no official transport due to special trains earlier in the season being wrecked.

Last penalty that Dick Shepard saved to win the cup was from Ted Helmsley who was also a professional cricketer for Worcestershire. Wonder why he was playing football that day as it was middle of summer? It was a pre season tournament with the two highest scoring teams from L1-L4 the previous season taking part. The promoted teams from each division were not allowed to take part. I meant why wasn’t he playing cricket then?

Outclassed today unfortunately by a team who haven't looked much more than just above average in this division? Somewhat more than just above average imo - most away wins (12) and away goals (34) in division.

Thought the mix last season was excellent.
Starting at Melksham and progressing to Brentford B, Chesterfield and Swansea with an overseas trip to Portugal.
Sadly didn’t help us to get off to a flyer did it?

Not long ago several on here were openly worrying about relegation and wondering where the required 50 pts was coming from. Good to see we are almost there. Be good to smash through it Saturday and enjoy the last 10 games and hopefully a top 10 and a mid 60pt finish to take into the summer (partial) rebuild UTG And already the same number of wins as last season.

Did we get an official number for the away support?
The stadium announcer gave it as 1200 and something as we left the ground.

Wasn’t there mention at the recent supporters meeting that they would play at The Quarters?
Not sure how realistic that is in terms of facilities etc needed for Tier 4?
Not to mention the issue of spectators there.

Sure I saw somewhere that the Sh1te women’s team had better crowds than us?
They lost 3-7 at home to Brighton today to confirm their position at the bottom of the WSL in front of 3468.
