Finleys passing is way off today Was glad to see him back but in hindsight he looked rusty as hell and probably needed to be brought back in more gradually. Derby were clinical in both boxes and we never really got going today. Gordon was poor for their first why did he head it straight in to the middle from their corner straight to their bloke , that’s a head out for a throw all day long.

One of the worst matches I’ve ever seen . Awful game, awful atmosphere. Not much else to say really. Awful? I’m in the south stand today got to say that’s been a pretty awful experience so far too. Took forever to get in before game, there’s no stalls , just one bar with one serving one pouring . Also I’m only 5,9 but my knees are pressed against the seat in front when I’m sat down , anyone over 6ft might as well forget it. It’s better than the old south stand but only because it’s bigger. Lots of work still to be done tbh .

What a weird half of football. Yeah it was like it was played underwater or something. Very strange.

This game is all marked up for us. Yeah they’re a top side in this division but we’ve got Matt Taylor as manager now he knows how to get this side drilled for these games . We’re in good hands. We’ll come away with at least a point tomorrow.

Not surprised, but when popping on to their forum to see what they they are saying about tomorrow, there seems to be a large number of Derby fans saying they have bought tickets for the home ends as they sold out so quickly. If, true, I hope they keep their mouths shut and do not cause any problems. If they try it on it’ll only add to the atmosphere. These things happen when you play a big club at home . A hostile atmosphere will play in to our hands more than there’s. If they want to give it the big one in the thatchers end it won’t end well for well for them the thatchers end will be louder. f**k em. Bring it on.

I think you can try and find minutes played stats Chris Martin is averging 0.75 goals per 90 mins in League matches. None of them penalties. And a goal every 120 minutes - on 🔥 Edit : just worked out that at that rate IF he played every minute of every game in a season he’d score 38 league goals 😀

Taylor left straight to the 82ers in an underhand deal. Very different than a player leaving going abroad then signing for a rival a fair distance down the M4 later on in his career. Also this poohead seems to have asked for a photo with the player then turned on him which is a weird twisted thing to do. Regardless nothing makes this acceptable. Most hooligans are brain dead numptys off their heads on coke. I saw footage from the aftermath of that game with chavs from both sides fighting each other right outside a kids play park. Scum. Amazes me that the police still can’t stop violence on that park post match . Been like that as long as I can remember, the brain dead thuggish sh1theads attacking away fans there. That fight looked pre- arranged though. Meat heads . All clubs seem to have them. A gang of hooligans tend to be made up of a ringleader who’s usually a fat bloke in his 50s , probably divorced because his ex got fed up with him never growing up and then his Chav infantry, kids that probably haven’t even seen ID but think Green street is the best film ever and aspire to be what their fat controller was 40 years ago. Scum.

What would happen if Matty Taylor was playing at the MEM wouldn’t he get the same treatment?🐍💩😜 Taylor left straight to the 82ers in an underhand deal. Have we though, its Joeys players plus Conteh; 18 days ago, I was there, after the final whistle on the pitch Monotone refused to celebrate the win shouting at the supporters that we needed to help the team because the players were generally frail and weak, on Saturday he was doing a Klopp, talking about bribing the players with his money, blah blah blah, and implying the very same players Evans, Thomas, Brown et al were playing well. Ffs what's he like. Happy to give him a window to build his long ball from the back squad, and 15 matches next term to show what he is all about, lets hope he does well, currently for me I am not convinced. His Exeter team played some good football, so I'm not sure why you keep saying about his long ball style. He was right when he said the players were drained. We have had no mid week game for the last two weeks, which has helped. Before that he had no time on the training pitch, to get his principles across. His one permanent signing hardly ever plays it long. So I'm not sure why you are so hung up on a long ball style. It's like you have made your mind up already. I don’t think we’ve become a long ball team either. We don’t muck about with it in defence as much and look to move the ball and our players at a quicker tempo than we did under Barton but we still mostly play through the pitch kits just quicker and not as boring as before. And more effective - see PPG. I’d rather we played 300 passes in a game and won than played 500 passes of which 300 were sideways across the back line and lose. Barton had a game plan and style in mind which only could have been successful if we’d had the best squad in the league. Burnley this season / last season are a good example of why you have to mix it up when you’re not a top side because playing like you are and losing many games is not nice football.

Maybe monotone Matt should take a look in the mirror. Under Mangan we managed to grind out a win at home against a physical Northampton side when we were second best for large parts of the game and then ground out a 1-0 away win at Carlisle when down to 10 men for 20+ mins. What is Taylor's excuse for getting sacked in his last job after breaking their club transfer record twice in one window, and then going from a poor 1.00 PPM last season to an abysmal 0.69 PPM this season, conceding an embarrassing 32 goals in 16 games (with a measly 15 scored!) and couldn't turn a losing away run that lasted more than a YEAR? Who cares what he did at another club ? I mean you clearly do but it’s what he does at Rovers that matters to me and his PPG and style of football is better than our last manager and we at last seem to have a manager who understands league 1 football after disasters such as Tisdale , garner and Barton.

A goal every 119 minutes. When you consider a match is about 100 minutes long these days with all the injury time he’s almost averaging a goal a game this season. Incredible form.

Lewis Gordon seems to be dividing opinions. I really want the lad to do well. I love his effort and his enthusiam as shown when he was in the away end at a game earlier in the season singing with the gasheads. However, I cannot at the moment get my head to come to the conclusion that he is a League One standard player. Was watching him closely yesterday. I thought that he was terrible when switched to right back. Was always trying to favour his left side and foot and put the team in trouble often when players got past him on the outside. I would have thought that if he had ambitions in the game he would have worked a lot harder to make his right foot better. Was better later in the game when going back to the left side and although he did well in the middle third of the pitch, he was hesitant when he got forward and his defending and ability to stop crosses still need working on. His effort though could not be faulted and he was out on his feet at the end. He’s still young and will probably improve as time goes on. I’m pretty sure last season was his first season in professional football.

Top bloke, I’ve felt since day one that he’s got a touch of the DCs about him. Obviously he’ll have to be successful to reach those heights in Gas legendary but he’s got a similar serious but likability about him.

15 points from our last 8 , not play off form but certainly good enough to keep us moving up the league if we keep that going. I haven’t fact checked your comment but if true, with respect, 86 points over 46 games is promotion form, or at the very least the playoffs 👍UTG Yeah it’s 5 wins 3 defeats from our last 8. Over 46 games that PPG would see us in the play offs you’re right. But what I meant was form we need to make the play offs this season. We would probably have to win the majority of our remaining games with a draw / defeat or two to make the play offs now. Extremely unlikely although we obviously did exactly that in 22 and 07.
