Me and a couple of mates even went to Trashton (in the away end, obvs) to see Forest play the Sh*t cos Larry Lloyd was playing (& Peter Shilton). Legend.

It's hardly a surprise we don't need MPV's to transfer players around but I doubt that's the owners biggest financial worry. What's that recent tweet about them still owing £75,000 for arranging a loan/grant for the new stand all about? The new owners have not paid for the maintenance and servicing of the Veto’s, 6 months overdue, likely to go to court. They were used for the management team, some players got lifts in them. Jack Marriott, was on £800 a month relocation package at Fleetwood, took it and commuted from Northampton still every week, no one they are in trouble, he refused to move to Lancashire. When people say oh I hear he’s on £4K a week, they have no idea what makes up a contract, Finley and all of them will have relocation allowances. Why would they buy them in finance in the first place, rather than just lease them?

Day of absolute shame from these players masquerading as Bristol Rovers FC. I was at Tottenham 1977 losing 9-0 and today resembled that game. This Club was rotten then and still is now. God that was an awful day - I honestly thought we were going to get done like that again today at one point

I am told some of the players are not having Taylor. Then they need to f.uck off quite frankly. At least have some personal pride even if the manager isn't your cup of tea I thought we had our rovers back?

The guy is clearly going through a mental break down He’s clearly quite an articulate and opinionated man, but god knows why he feels the need to be stirring up views best suited to a bygone era. Needs the attention? Just glad the owners saw sense and got rid when they did. Not so sure a warm welcome back anytime still stands! UTG He’s actually not that articulate - if you actually read what he says, his speech is littered with malapropisms, acyrologia and grammatical errors. He likes to use big words, but they are often out of context.

If what he did was me and you, we’d be in prison but he had a QC working for him who got the case moved 4 times. In those 4 times she wrote to the judge 7 times, the 7th time she said she was heavily pregnant and it was severely affecting her mental health, he knew a magistrate would look at this differently to a crown court. The victim his wife dialled the 999 buttons, no one else, she made the claim. The police turned up with video cameras, she made the claim he kicked her in the face while on the floor as well. 70% of domestic violence cases change their story days after, he knew he was going down. She then said she couldn’t remember who hit her, let’s not kid ourselves here and you are defending a monster. You choose to mention the cigar incident but forget the night out where he attacked someone and went to prison, why? 🤷🏼♂️ He is not a role model to any child, he’s a vile pig which you are defending guilty or not. He missed the first three games of the season because he kicked the refs door in. Found innocent attacking a football manager in a tunnel, the question is why did he look to leave straight away? He’s like the boy at school always in trouble and your Mum says, keep away from him. James Belshaw had to have therapy because of him, the list is endless. I have no doubt that money certainly helps… only have to look at Prince Andrew for that - but facts are facts and he didn’t get charged so no criminal activity could have been proven. They also had another child afterwards. Belshaw I liked and it’s a shame he didn’t return but am I wrong in saying that the board didn’t want him back? He was charged with the offences - that’s why he was in court, but the charges were not proven and he was found not guilty.

Well look at it this way - at least it’s another one off the playing budget. I would imagine staff are paid for from a different budget to the players.

I dont expect any difficult questions to be asked or if they are, be answered. Especially if the ITV interview is anything to go by. It's a shame he isnt fronting up at the Forum as well given that he owns the show now. What difficult questions? Most regular fans just want to know what's happening with the stadium and next season's playing budget expectations etc, not whether the rumours about unpaid bills etc are true or not. Fair enough for the head-in-the-sand types, but really you’d expect any “journalist” worth their salt to pick up on the current unease amongst a lot of the fans and ask their questions accordingly . . .

And I’m sure the bloke in the shop is thrilled that he’s been quoted on here…. Surprising that he was so casual with customers as to freely give out that kind of information. Extremely unprofessional. The sort of thing you would only likely do if you were at the end of your tether and did not give a flying f@ck about the consequences. I wonder if the bills not being paid extend to their wages or something? Or maybe they are just sick of having to explain away why stock levels are low (blaming suppliers or transportation or something)? But this isn't like any other business. Customers are most likely fans who are interested in and knowingly contribute to the financial state of the club. If you tell them that stock is low because bills aren't being paid then you must know that they will likely be concerned with this revelation and there would be a good chance of this information being shared on social media etc. All pointing back to the source. Quite silly of them really. Could get themselves in a bit of trouble The staff are probably fans as well, so that may be a motive for telling other fans

Whilst there is still a meltdown of sorts after this loss, at least quite a few people accept the circumstances that we find ourselves in. I've always said that our best elven (when everybody is available) is a decent top half of the table team. Take a couple out and we are poor. Take lots out and we are very poor! I think it was seven central midfield players who were missing yesterday! Makes Tuesday nights win even more important. According to MT it doesn't look like any of the injured players will be back next weekend. Hopefully Vale will be able to play a full ninety minutes and Conteh will be back though. Not sure if I want to be playing the team bottom of the league who are in dreadful form next week! Rumours of them sacking their manager as well doesn't help! Even with so many of our players out, go one down next weekend and it'll be toxic in the stands. Thing is, I’m not sure what people expect at the moment - if you purchase an item from a store or online and it turns out to be defective, or doesn’t actually do what it is supposed to, then you quite rightly complain, exchange it for one that does work or obtain a refund. Unfortunately for us, we don’t have the option of exchanging our faulty product or even obtaining a refund, so the only recourse we have is to complain. Loudly. I don’t know why the players have such a hard time with that - if I underperformed like they currently do, or turned up for work completely disinterested and clearly not even trying, I would be disciplined. Why football players are seemingly entitled to a free pass on this is beyond me.

Wilson is another Max Ehmer, doesn’t really want to here, the later left for money and loved the Gills and Wilson left for a 2 year deal nearer to Newport. I mention this re his non existent leadership I’ve watched all our games this season and seen loads of opposition centre backs who are clearly better players than Wilson. At one point today he was slagging off Jed Ward, when quite clearly he should have been slagging himself off for the way he performed. He is one player I would be glad to see the back of, let’s hope MT agrees. I was seriously less than impressed with his interview after the Fleetwood game, when he in essence blamed the supporters for not being impressed with the team’s dogsh*t performance. He is a “professional” footballer, who is privileged to be getting paid to do something we would probably all give our right hands to be able to do. If he (and his colleagues) is/are so mentally fragile that a bit of stick from some supporters - who are rightly p*ssed off that the team are turning in performances that are lacklustre at best, and completely disinterested at worst - is completely destroying their ability to do what they’re being paid to do, then maybe they should quit and get real jobs? It’s not like they’re being paid peanuts either, is it? The vast majority of them are probably paid at least 3-5 times what I get paid and I guarantee that not one of them would have the mental fortitude or strength of character to do my f*cking job . . .

Just a reminder the meeting with Abdullatif, Matt and Tom Gorringe is being held in the Bristol Room at the Mem on Thursday 29 February at 7.30. Supporters Club members can secure one of 150 limited tickets for the event by using the link on the SC website until 20 February. A good chance to ask the questions you would like answered, face to face. Is there any mechanism where non SC members can submit questions? Yeah - pm me with the questions if you’re not going in person

At work I am the regional charity co-ordinator and we raise tens of thousands for charities such as Macmillan, Mind, Cash For Kids(giving Xmas presents for families in poverty), the homeless and animal shelters. As a grandparent, my physical activity extends to giving my granddaughter a piggyback and playing horsey. The young whippersnappers from other regional office do physical challenges such as Three Peaks, abseiling, ultra marathons and Tough Mudders, so I thought what mental challenge can I do. I am sure many of you are aware of the Wallis and Gromit Wrong Trousers campaign to raise funds for Bristol Children's hospital. Well I am going one further and pledging to wear a (apologies for the bad language) City shirt (yueck!) at work AND whilst selling programmes and 50/50s AND whilst watching the Cambridge game on 16 April. I will post more details idc and hope you donate some spare monies and can show understanding (ie not shout Sheethead at me too much on the day). I’ll chuck in a fiver after I knock you out for wearing that shirt 😜 Hah - you beat me to it 😁
