As far as I know,Mark used to work for Rovers,Jon we all know, and the other guy(sorry forget his name)does NOT work for the Rovers. Think someone has made a mistake there.

A SC meeting tomorrow night, but I have no idea if they even know about the FFS. I had forgotten on the old OF that we were asked if we could help out with training for the Youth team, this I think is a good road to go down. As for "Specific causes",not really keen on that, although I guess it would depend on what it was. A "as and when" as in the case of Anne Marie was a bit of a "one off". No problem with that.
Prehaps you should try and speak to Jim C.

I am more than happy to re-join the FFS this season,as well as helping the club out it gave its members a chance to feel part of something good. I am sure every single member would be only to happy to do it again. One thing from the other thread,a comment from Mehewmagic which I think could be a good idea. The funds raised could go to buying equipment(I know the SC also does this),or as Mehew said, maybe to pay for the youth team to attend a tournament/training session somewhere. I know Torquay send their youth team to Ireland to take part in a tournament. Just a thought. UTG

I am a football fan and a Bristol Rovers fan,so yes I am looking forward to the new season. But looking at the fixtures tomorrow will really bring it home that we are no longer a football league club. Its strange I have accepted where we now are and yet in another way I still cannot believe it.

You are right beaver123, the other forum is a bit hard to take sometimes, seems to me half of them can find nothing to like about BRFC. Makes you wonder why they bother!

I will still come along tonight as I have arranged it ,but I am slightly disappointed now to be honest. I didn't know what if anything ,would come out of the Welly group meetings, but I did not expect it to be in with the BRISA thing. My feeling at the moment is it will just become part of the latter, and maybe get swallowed up. Who knows. I am just not too comfortable with the BRISA aims, and yes I am a BRSC member. I also have reservations on a campaigning(possible)talk by a person who has put his name down for election as a SC Director. This is not why I came to the last meeting for. Of course I may have it all wrong, but that is the way I am thinking at the moment.

Are you thinking of joining up with BRISA? To be honest I didn't think that was the idea, and I for one am not sure on that one. I know all about a united voice and all that, but at the moment I was not thinking of joining them,so I am slightly concern, which is a shame.

My God,how times have changed, I saw Elton at the Hippodrome in 1976! Can't remember how much it cost, would have only been a few quid.A brilliant show as I remember, still got the programme.Louder Than Concorde(but not as pretty!)

Mad/Sad maybe but I am still going for play-offs. But like everyone else,I will no doubt change my vote once the season has started.
