Club President Wael Al Qadi has today penned an open letter to supporters...
Dear Gasheads,
I have been here with you now for nearly five and a half years. I hope that through that time you have seen and felt my passion for this club, my openness with supporters and my understanding of the emotions that you feel on a day-to-day basis.
We have a diverse fanbase, as was celebrated in our recent kit launch campaign and all supporters are welcome at The Mem to enjoy watching our club together.
However, the past four days have been tough for us all and I have seen first-hand that there is division within the fanbase which is not what we want heading into a new season.
Firstly, I think it is really important to confirm that as a club we stand firmly against any form of violence. Any individual that is found guilty of any such offences will be dismissed immediately. I understand the concerns expressed by a number of you. However, in line with the basic principles of British law, it is my view that you are innocent until proven guilty.
I have seen and understand the response to the statement that was released last night. Given that this is a legal matter, what we can and can’t say as a club is heavily restricted. That said, I think it is important that some context is given to the comment regarding victimless crimes as I know that has caused some distress. The phrase is a legal term referring to cases in which the victim is either unknown or has not made a complaint/engaged with the police enquiries. We in no way meant to belittle charges of domestic abuse.
I know that this may have been misinterpreted in the statement last night and I wholeheartedly apologise to anyone that was offended.
As has been well publicised we are partners with the team at HerGameToo and continue to play an active role in supporting that initiative. Furthermore, before we were aware of this issue we agreed last week to support a Domestic Violence campaign which we will continue to do heading into the new season. In addition, in 2018 we partnered with the Southmead Project who provide free counselling and support for survivors of abuse and addiction across Bristol and surrounding areas. All of these causes are at the heart of our football club and we will continue to do all we can to support those in need.
This period will have undoubtedly strained relationships, however, I hope that we can retain your trust and confidence as we look to continue to build the club and support our wider community.
I hope that you can all join me in getting behind the team this season, we need your support now more than ever.
UTG
Wael

Will wait to see the Away kit before deciding which to get this year.
No overly keen on this but will buy home or away so the club gets some revenue from me

I barely use this forum anymore so apologies, until someone happened to mention it in a WhatsApp group I had no idea that the forum domain had expired! Apologies. It's now been renewed, so should either be fixed now or will be shortly. I have to pay to renew the domain, about £20 for the year. I'm happy to cover it but may I recommend that anyone that uses this forum considers dropping a donation into the North Bristol Foodbank: www.totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/northbristolfoodbank. There are a lot of Gasheads that use this forum, just £5 each would be an awesome total! Cheers, Harley. Thanks Harley,
As previous seasons i will put you in for a free FFSC membership for the 21/22 season

So, Yesterday i was lucky enough to have a personal tour with Wael and the project manager of the training ground and the facilities under construction. Its all very impressive and well thought out. Pitches are fantastic, Clubhouse is really coming on with internal fit out due to commence shortly. The resoviour and borehole are complete and all linked to a complex drainage network . The Gym is excellent with great quality equiptment - all brand new !! So overall a mssive step forward for the club and really brings us into the 21st Cent. Remember this is still only Phase 1 so more to come over time Wael was extremley passionate about the project and i am hugely grateful for the oppurtunity to visit Socially distanced I hope Parrot! Thanks for the info. Yes and all masked up and elbow bumps

Sadly with posh having much better players than us, I wonder whether JCH has flourished because of that and whether he would of shown the same form he is now if he had stayed. Given all clubs financial positions. I hope posh do sell him for 5 and we pocket a million. Not to spend but to keep us further out of the red. Peterborough are a very good judge of player on the whole, so allows them to spend reasonably big on players with a certain degree of confidence they will make a profit. Apart from JCH, they signed Jack Taylor for £500k from conference team Barnet on 7th Jan 2020, and already had offers for him at the start of this season!! Szmodics is another one, signed for around £1M on a 4 year deal and will probably be sold for more than they bought him for. (Edit: They paid B.City as much as they gave us for JCH, yet Szmodics hadnt been proven above L2 level) Meanwhile, Andy Tilson still holds the record for our biggest transfer fee paid, at a time I was still at secondary school Not actually Correct, Tom Nicholls

Got to admit, im loving the way hes spoken so far and look forward to seeing if he can resolve the issues he has quickly identified.
Also obvious hes been doing his background research as for example how many goals have come from set plays
I do believe he will prove to be a great appointment
