1974, a reserve match at Eastville v Oxford. 0-0 I think, dreadful ! First league match was v Sunderland in 1975 ish? We won 1-0 from a goal that I believe went in direct from a corner. I was there. Sunderland that is. Me and my mate played a few games of table football with a couple of Sunderland lads in the Black lion. Surprise Surprise, the blue team always won, whoever was playing.

Born Bristolian, brought up in Knowle, Hartcliff and then back to Knowle. Does that count?? A gashead that grew up in ted territory. Respect. I'm another one. Bemmy, Highridge, Withywood, Southville, then back to Highridge.

Hi everyone
Sorry I have not been around for a long time. Unfortunately my Progressive Neuro Condition has progressed as they do. I am now in need of more care than I was due to my arms shaking. I have also had to stop driving. This has led to mental health issues which have made me a bit (a lot) paranoid about coming back to the forum. I finally decided today that this wa stupid so here I am. At the moment it is unlikely that I will get to many (any) games this season but I will continue to support the gas in any way I can. I owe some money to FFSC for last years Gas bill and to join for this year which I will transfer shortly.

Like the idea of the sin bin instead of yellow card reduces the yellow card tally before a one match suspension casing point Sinclairs sending off could of been sent to the sin bin instead. Bit of a controversial one this regarding the points how about a point per goal ?How many times have the gas gone away from home played well and scored but still lost, admittedly we've been spanked a few times Charlton and Millwall but the Gas have given out a few spanking Bury,Northampton and Coventry Going on a point per goal the league table would look like this 1 Sheffield Utd 78 pts 2 Scunthorpe 70 pts 3 Rochdale 66 pts 4 Bolton 63 pts 5 Southend 63 pts 6 GAS 60 pts ( ironically same amount points) No no and thrice no

Not sure. Dolman was a Rovers Director and left to join them (No not the Belfast band) Always suspicious of anyone switching allegiance. Seems to happen quite a lot at director/owner level. To be fair he resigned from Rovers board over the sale of Eastville to the Greyhound Co. about which he was absolutely right but to go over to the dark side... As I understand it, HD wanted to put money in Rovers but was turned down, hence going to the dark side, a la DoG. I cannot remember that I ever heard he was a one time board member at Rovers, though. I might be totally wrong then. I understood he left Rovers over the sale of Eastville but as I wasn't actually around then I am relying on heresay.

To be honest I don't give a feck. I am not sure it will make any difference to ordinary people whatever they do. Definition of ordinary people? Me Although I once told a girlfriend of mine that once she started comparing me to an average man, that was it. Funnily enough that was it - more or less.
