That YT clip is all of 2 hours old... this thread is 1 hour.
I wonder if someone in the local community has been putting his name out there today?

I blame the SC here. It is there tweet clearly wrong. Whether they are directly relaying a club message is a separate issue.

If it was the Bristol Post- we'd be reporting hearsay etc... expect a few teams interested. £2m if they do.

Good interviews for me. Whilst I didn't want MT appointed I've been won over by the messaging. Rather than "Monotone" I find a consistency and coherency to what he says. I think last season started with too much chat, without actions backing up the words.
I'm optimistic of what will represent Bristol Rovers next year.

Not against the kite signing at all if it happens, decent midfielder just wondered why he hasn’t played for Exeter back end of the season was it due to an injury or is it the kind of similar position to Finley? I think this one has been on the cards for a while and in part is the reason Kite was dropped from Exeter team. I got the sense that Caldwell was reluctant to bring Kite during the fixture at the Mem with the rumours as they were... he was "pending" coming on for a long time. Exeter fans seem to think Caldwell uses him wrong. Pirate doesn't hugely rate him. If we can get enough games from Rositer, Grant and Conteh we already have an excellent midfield so if Kite is coming in to compliment that- this feels like a nice sensible signing. It's everywhere else I'm more concerned .

This year- let's not get too hyped/ disappointed over a single signing...
Let's look at the window as a whole. Individually alot of talent was bought to the club last season. On closer reflection alot of the signings were high risk.
If Kite has the trust of the manager- I like this.

Good budgets, bad budgets I can't get too excited... its about the signings you make. Naturally cash helps but we'll see.

I think this is one that the club have to rely on the medical reports. If they agree with Rossiters assessment- it’s done, he's over it- no brainer, 1 year deal. He’ll be over the infection but he still has a long history of serious knee problems which is why he’s played so few games going into his late 20’s. He’s clearly a class act when fit so and there will be some degree of an educated gamble in offering him a deal - unless the medical opinion was very damning I think we should give it a go. I think part of the problem is us having so many injured plagued players at the same time, a club in our position can have one or two gambles but not as many as we’ve had this season. Hopefully he’s playing today - I’ve enjoyed watching him play in the last couple of games. I suppose I mean you've gotta rely on the medical staff in a total sense. RE previous injuries too. For me if there's a 50% chance he'll be able to play 38 games next season - do it. I suggest that's a huge risk, but totally worth the gamble. Rightly we won't know what the docs are saying and they won't be so quantitive. But my crass example illustrates the difficulty the club will have in communicating their decision.

Crikes. Monk thought they deserved the win. I don't think there's a single outfield player in side that "won" their battle. We totally outclassed them.
Yes, we were still a bit uncomfortable under set pieces but beyond that it was as dominate as 1 nil usually gets. Relieved we never appointed Monk.

The cult of Joey was always going to be an incredibly difficult job to follow. At the time- I felt it should be either Mangs or Robinson from the uninspiring short list. Both candidates felt like continuity acts. Managers that would pick up the Batton.
The appointment of Matt Taylor signposted a new direction. I felt this was the wrong time but a bit of me was excited. We were over reliant on the the personality of JB and needed a constitution put in place. Unfortunately- the guys been given no tools to do the job.
Firstly, people saying Matt out? That's not enough. You have to know who can/ would come in. The trigger finger- and water poor planning got us here origninally.
Second, in my view- he still needs a chance. A new direction post Joey was always going to be tough- it's clear once the carrot of the playoffs fell away the squad motivation collapsed.

I'd still like Taylor in charge but the owners are need to front up to the many errors made this season. I'm glad he's gone- but sacking Barton was a mistake. There was no plan. Can’t keep going back to this. We don’t even have a game plan. Taylor just hand on hips. I wouldn’t trust this man to walk my westie on a Saturday morning You'll note- I never wanted Taylor appointed. Alot of fans questioned my judgement back then. But- you have to give a manager something to work with. We should've made 3/4 proper signings in Jan- not 1. Another sacking won't achieve anything.

I'm gutted... I called this in January. I said- he hadn't been backed and we'll be left not understanding whether the manager has "it" or not... impossible to judge. I didn't judge Barton with Garners side, I wouldn't Taylor with Bartons. I'm not calling for Taylors sacking but he does start next season with incredible pressure. He'll need a great window and a fast start. Having made the decision to sack Joey and run with Matt- they should've backed him. As a minimum, we'd of had clarity on next year. I didn't renew my season ticket- as I don't understand vision for this club. I'm still hoping some decent signings convince me to get a new one before the season begins. I'm really concerned about the direction provided by the board. - sack Barton per "underachieving" - take 2 months to appoint a bloke to rectify that. - little support in January to address "underachieving" - admissions of underachieving and season ticket hikes for families. The performance today wasn't bad but the positivity is sapped. At one point this season I truly believed we were gonna have last season player or year and last season top goalscorer in our side. Now we have neither. Barton's side, minus Collins. Plus Thomas, McCormick, Ward and others have been injured. So it's hard to judge him, as we've had no attack! If we'd of had a better Jan window and got similar results I'd of at least of been able to engage with what we're trying to do. Really felt like the board gave up on this season. It's clear we got recruitment wrong in the summer. Too many injuries. Most are good players- but too many play too few. I feel sorry Matt.

6 years on... 1000s of suggestions. Sure there are some names that faded into obscurity but...
It would be intriguing to me if anyone wanted to make a "wishlist all-star XI"
Please include: player, position, year of submission.
I remember Pirate being keen on Shankland- that's gotta be near the best suggestion. That most have been feasible at the time and i suggest would've been great.

Happy to have George involved. Hope this becomes bigger than a 1 man operation.
I think an advantage of it being someone fresh out of football they should be relatively wired to present motivations of footballers.
