We play good attractive football in parts for a total of 30 mins out of a full 90 most times , defensively were a shambles without Taylor ( who isn’t even our player ) we have been screaming out for an experienced CB and we don’t sign one , instead we bring in even more CM players to make an unbalanced squad even more unbalanced. Not to mention our shocking options up front , where yet again we’ve not got an out and out goal scorer on the pitch as the ones we have signed seem to be injury prone and we don’t score enough goals . I know you can’t help injuries as it’s part of the game but can you honestly say that you don’t think we always have way too many players out injured , I’ve never known a club have so many. Performances like the one against Oldham are all too familiar with this squad and the only thing that is consistent with our performances is our inconsistencies. Our discipline record is also pretty poor. I was willing to give JB a chance but it seems he’s wasted two transfer windows and we are now paying for it , this league is poor this year and we shouldn’t be where we are as I think it’s unacceptable. Let me ask you, if at the beginning of the Season JB had said the plan this year is to bring a few players in, get them working together, get the spirit back, aim to finish mid to top half and then go for it next Season, rather than saying ( and a mistake in my eyes) that he'll take us up, would that change your view as to what's going out there at the moment? Yes mate , I think it would. I fell out with so many posters on here as I ( foolishly) got sucked in with all his talks of , high pressing , attacking football and that we’d have a team to be proud of. Don’t get me wrong , the desire is certainly there from the players but they are simply so inconsistent, I never know which rovers side are going to show up. I think JB has made some good signings but I think the overall balance is wrong. There has been too many times this season when I think we’ve been an embarrassment, Oldham , Leyton Orient , Swindon etc where I genuinely have seen better performances from Sunday league , I know all teams have off days but a lot of the time we look like we have not played together, trained together or even have a game plan. Passing backwards , sideways and when we do get in attacking options we look lost for ideas. I mean , look at our corners we never look like we’re ever going to score from them. Football aside , I hope you and the family are all good Baggs x

And that is absolutely everything we don’t have , I said it before and I’ll say it again , This is JBs squad and he pretty much promised promotion out of this league , when the inevitable happens and it’s confirmed we aren’t going up ( which is pretty much now nailed on ) he should resign , no time for niceties as I’m sick of our club always taking one step forwards and two steps back. So we're playing good attractive football with youngsters running their socks off to get things going after seasons of dross served up by Garner, Tisdale, and because we haven't gone up this season you want Barton to resign? Sorry chap but I don't agree with that, at all. Think todays game summed up the league, Mansfield have been lauded on here but were very, very ordinary and one wonders how they put together the fantastic run they have been on. We are as good or bad as any team in the division and would need to go on a similar run to Mansfield's to get anywhere near top 7. I see Bolton took 44 points from last 19 games last season , so something like w14 d2 l3, can i see us doing similar, nope, but you never know, it has to start Tuesday! Think i have accepted that we will be here again next season which takes the tension out of the remaining fixtures somewhat, until we win the next 3 and hope springs eternal again! They put together the fantastic run they have been on because the league is poor and one of the weakest for a few years. It also helps having an experienced manager who has put together a solid, balanced and hard working group of players capable of grinding out results.

I agree and April looks particularly tough with a run of games that goes Tranmere Salford Port Vale FGR I don’t think at any point this season we have looked a promotion side. Regardless of who the manager is our results haven’t been good enough when you consider the investment that’s been made. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion of course and that’s just mine Thats a really tough set of games. We're also potentially going to have to replace the following this summer: Jaakola (?) Connolly Taylor Brown Harries (?) Thomas E. Anderson Nicholson Evans Spence Whelan (?) Rodman (?) Clarke Pitman Thats an entire squad in itself and no doubt we'll then need another season to 'gel' again? Spot on 👍

I must admit I wrote us off after the Oldham game , utter crap performance with no real leader , can’t defend properly without relying on the young loanee Taylor and we simply don’t score enough goals. Oldham was up there with one of the worst games I’ve seen us play , The problem is , is we all know a performance like that is always around the corner. We never capitalise when the opportunity arises , take today for example , we’ll on top for the majority of the second half and we don’t even test the keeper , better sides in this division would of buried Mansfield today but we don’t , I think we are simply just a bang average league two side where the manager seems to of wasted a decent budget on a disjointed squad , don’t forget , he’s now had a couple of transfer windows and this is his team , no one else’s

A front four of Nicholson Evans Thomas Goal scorer Is good enough for this league Have we got the scorer? We are not far off, just need Loft or Clarke to fire some late magic….I reckon Leon could be the man, would love it for him to be fit for the run in…. UTG I don’t think leon is ever going to be totally fit again sadly. Same here mate , comes on as a sub against Scunthorpe, scores and then goes awol again , also seem to have another injury prone striker with Loft , apparently a minor knock but still out when we need a striker the most.

Totally agree with all of this , we should be doing much better and it’s going to a season wasted. No excuses , we should be doing much better. Agree. Decent performance and point today, but when you see the quality in the squad, you can't help but wonder how we can only be Midtable. On the whole it isn't good enough. It’s so frustrating, like you said , we have a lot of quality in the squad but it’s just not working.

I think that’s the season over tbh. I said previously that Sutton, Oldham, Mansfield & Sutton will require a minimum of 7 points to show we’re playing off contenders and so far we have 2 points in 3 of those games. Not really good enough tbh, with our budget we should be doing a lot better. It’s worrying as well that we’ll potentially need a squad reset (after already having a squad reset) as well with the amount of players we’ll lose in summer at end of contracts or returning back on loan. Totally agree with all of this , we should be doing much better and it’s going to a season wasted. No excuses , we should be doing much better.

Crap first half , much better second half , Defence much better with Taylor back , stone wall penalty not given but totally toothless upfront , we should be at least troubling the opposition keeper but his kit doesn’t need washing tonight. Really concerns me that yet again we have been left with no out and out goal scorer and so far appears that our new striker is another injury prone dud, After the celebration from Clarke scoring against Scunthorpe , I thought he’d be back but yet again out. Sorry to be a kill joy but I still think we are no where near good enough for a play off spot !!

I’m undecided if I will go or not today , my lads playing this afternoon in a meaningless league fixture as they can’t go up or down and we’re pretty much in the same position and after our abject performance against Oldham on Tuesday night I do feel a bit meh towards our upcoming games now as I think promotion is way too much to ask from this team now as we aren’t good enough and it will be a bit of a bore fest. I’ll probably go and watch my son today and go on Tuesday

Absolute Chuffing rubbish , no excuses for me. Bottled it big time and just reaffirms that we are simply not good enough for a promotion challenge, second best in every single department to the team bottom of the league. Beyond annoyed with that sh** tonight, massive let down but I’m not too surprised if I’m honest.

Awful performance all over the pitch , were lucky to still be in this as they’ve had some good chances , good football for the goal and nice finish from sammy , my biggest worry is we look like conceding every time they attack. Again I know the injures would have made a huge impact on our game plan but it’s still massively frustrating, but , this is rovers and you just never know !

Just had to switch I follow off as my ipad was nearly launched across the Chuffing room , what an embarrassment , absolute horse sh**, I’ve also never known a team pick up so many P?!sing injuries. Negligible medical team I’m so annoyed , I know injuries happen but the bloody list is endless ffs.

Indeed. Nothing but Americanised nonsense. Surely the #1 shirt should be set aside if any? And #2 for those who don't go away. 3 for iFollow fans and 4 for the rest of the plebs. For the ‘real’ supporters Hugo 😉😂

Belshaw , deserves the number 1 spot this season , has kept us in many games. Anssi still a good keeper and I think we’re lucky to have the keepers we have, and he also saved us at the death yesterday UTG Anssi Tuesday? Yes , I think he’ll be in between the sticks Tuesday , then Belshaw back for the weekend. We really are strong in the that position
