Exactly this the last gas head with the money needed to buy a super new stadium now has his money in Jersey and spends it on Bristol Bears and a tinpot team that shares the ground. As said we should be careful what we wish for. UTG

So what next? Do the fans turn on him and force him out? Are there multi millionaires/billionaires out there waiting for an opportunity to take on a perennial league one/two club that needs a £50m investment in a new site and stadium? We need to be careful what we wish for when we see what goes on at clubs with investors rather than football loving owners. Personally I’m willing to trust that Wael is doing his best behind the scenes to secure us somewhere to build a new stadium and would much rather have him as owner in the meantime so that I still have a club to support. Yes I would like to know more about what is and has been going on behind the scenes but perhaps there are genuine reasons why he isn’t able to be more open. Agree. A lot has happened in football since Wael bought the club. Then our particular circumstances with land prices, building costs, getting what I call "People, Process, Product" right within our club. I'm sure the to do list when he took over was enormous, with hurdles thrown at us that some were of our own making and some that were completely out of our control, there has to be times Wael must think what am I doing putting myself through the stress at times. Then you have the scene's twice at the Mem now with a promotion which must make it all worthwhile. I am pretty sure if you ask the Everton owner if he could get is money back today, you wouldn't see him for dust and then who do you end up with. Charlton Fans seemingly going through ownership issues for the second time. Crawley being owned by a bunch of "internet tokens" that the only value is based upon who wakes up in the morning and thinks they can double thier money in an hour. There are of course some success stories, our friends Swindon seem to have landed on there feet, Pomey seem to be a stable club once more financially. Chelsea, well are just Chelsea. You make the point however that if Wael did decide to sell, he would want whatever he thinks is the value of the club plus for the new owners they also have to come up with another £50 plus Million (more I would think, at some point for the Stadium). I know not quite the same, but we would need to find a new owner with deep pockets to take over the Gas, an Historical L1 / L2 club. Put into perspective, Saints sold in January for £100 Million (80% ownership). So there are a lot of choices out there for a very wealthy potential owner to choose from. I am with you, I really hope Wael sticks around for a long time to come. Plans or no plans for a new Stadium, I cant see that we are currently in anything other than a very safe pair of hands at this moment in time, and someone who genuinely has our best interests at heart.

Not at all am I suggesting we don't need a new or improved stadium. Just saying that constantly putting down someone for bailing out the club we say we support is poor form. As supporters all we can do surely is support, attend games, buy merchandise, have a beer at the club not the Welly and ultimately get behind the team, if as supporters we are not doing our bit how can we be critical of one man for not buying us a stadium that many on here would only visit once.

Ask a Bury fan if he thinks a chairman paying 3m plus per year to keep a team afloat is a failure. Without Wael there would not still be a Bristol Rovers let alone the dream of a stadium.

I can't see we've improved in any meaningful way since Wael took over apart from one thing. The training ground. Joey is a good manager but I can't see him as an improvement on Darrell 'Count My Promotions' Clarke. And all Joey's backroom innovations and staff are just a guilty verdict or lucrative offer away from vanishing as fast as they arrived. I think a few people on here desperately talk Wael up because they like him and/or are close to him. May even have trodden the corridors of power. I like him. I really do. But I'd like to hear more about these real improvements in the last 6 years. And a lick of paint in the bar doesn't count. It seems Wael appointing the right manager is down to luck as much anything given after DC's departure it took him 4 managers, GC, BG, PT & JB until he get the right, whilst JB was quick to call out BG & PT has being "negligent" Wael clearly felt they were up to the job when he appointed them. Like you I'm struggling to think of one thing, apart from the training ground, where we've improved. Social media wise there's been improvements but that hardly makes the match day experience any better.

Surely we all knew the date of for last game of season, no point moaning if you didn't get a ticket. if you waited to see if this game mattered before spending money on the team maybe you've now learnt a lesson. No ticket sales no club. There are games played before April and May. And I fully understand Jocks point about being able to afford season tickets and the like but if you are going to choose to attend only one game buy the ticket early don't slate the club because you were to slow.

Pile of sh**e. After numerous mentions on official rovers page on twitter, that users should pin the page so as not to miss the ticket release... They announce the tickets are out, I then go into the ticket site which I had left myself to logged into, they had already gone. There's no way 500 people got tickets ahead of me after the tweet. I now find out that they went on sale about 30 mins before, no announcement from the club, it was actually announced by whatever unofficial rovers Facebook page it happened to be. To add insult the club then state that they sold out in 1 min whatever secs. Pathetic.

is that the best you can come up with? hide behind your little mates quip, pathetic not hiding behind anyone mate, you are always moaning and always start arguments on here If others around you are watering you off grow a pair of nuts and say something or move, don't slag off the supporters I grew a pair against Gillingham and asked the arse behind me to get behind the team and he then spent 45 minutes performing for his mates taking the p*** out of me. Not quite so cocky when when I shook his hand later when leaving

This forum is for football-related topics & opinions. In my opinion our FA should tell FIFA to get bloody stuffed. We wear them in memory of those of many races & religions (& indeed political persuasions) who died for us. The money-grubbing, snouts-in-trough self-serving crooks at FIFA can take a running jump. Cant argue with that but possibly thread should be in the general sport section as not Rovers related Not Rovers related? You know we play at the memorial stadium?
