A close game which Chelsea just edged overall, we tired badly towards the end. As usual theirs negativity that our youngsters aren’t good enough, I’d have Mehew starting ahead of Coutts in the centre. Thought Martinez looked solid and Zain looked good when he had a chance to run at people. Decent night all in all where some got valuable minutes. Mehew over Coutts, not on that display. Looks out of his depth, which is a shame as he shows glimpses of being a good player. You think Coutts hasn’t been, you’d rather him than blood a local lad through ? I think give Mehew a run of games.

Does anyone feel ripped off by last nights team selection? I , like many others paid their £10 to watch , what I assumed was a first team fixture only for it to be a reserve team training session. Our manager freely admitted some players were selected to put them in the "shop window". Well I certainly didnt, or would not have paid if I had known that before I bought my ticket. If I wanted to look at a shop window I could have gone to ASDA Giving all the above, I have to ask, if you knew before hand what team was being put out would you still have bought your match pass? I for one wouldnt have. I feel ripped off. In the 60 years watching the Gas, cant say I have ever felt that Overall Tisdale has had a great start as manager, if he needs to assess some fringe players in January he should be able to do that without having to justify it to you because you think you’re owed something because as you spent £10. The entitlement of some people these days is mind boggling, I understand emotions fly during a game but this poster has had a night to sleep and still writes this. I can almost guarantee this morning PT will be mailing TW that half of that side is surplus to requirements freeing up wages for a new player or two. Happy days

All I know is if i came onto another clubs forum to slag off a previous manager who had got us promoted at the first attempt , I think I’d need to have a look at myself first and firemost.

You don’t like Tisdale I think we all get it You forgot to mention that that pre match team talk you refer to on the negative produced a result where Exeter City beat Leeds united. To be honest I don't dislike Tisdale. I think he's got a lot about him and has achieved some good things. I wouldn't hate it if he was appointed but he's not my preference plus recommendations from Pirate are clearly jinxed so it would obviously end in disaster. Not to mention, by his own admission, the man taught Paul Buckle everything he knows. So why poison a thread with rubbish, I’m genuinely curious what you get out of it ?

8 promotions as a Football manager would suggest he knows more than you on player motivation. Great appointment imho. It’s amazing the logic people use that he’s not a league 1 manager, when Exeter had the smallest budget in lge1 took them to 8th and was offered championship jobs it gets used against him. If he took one of those championship jobs he’d have been a Championship manager but because he stayed loyal people use it against him, crazy. For me the most important trait in a man above all else is loyalty and integrity above all else. Tisdale has it all as well as 700 games in management 1 relegation and 8 promotions. What has the fact he knows more about player motivation than me got to do with him telling an interviewer boring stories about how expensive his clothes are? You don’t like Tisdale I think we all get it You forgot to mention that that pre match team talk you refer to on the negative produced a result where Exeter City beat Leeds united.

He will be forced to wear a rovers branded shell suit from the shop. If he wears his own clothes it shows he doesn’t care - apparently! He says he tells his team "We're one nil up already" because he's wearing an expensive jacket on the touchline. One of the most banal and pointless football anecdotes I've ever heard and football anecdotes are one of the most banal and pointless type of anecdote. 8 promotions as a Football manager would suggest he knows more than you on player motivation. Depends on the club's current philosophy. If it is just to remain in the division settle for mid table and sell for profit then buckle could be the guy. Can't see the likes of cook coming in to a club that may have no intention of challenging for promotion over the next few seasons. Wtf are you talking about Buckle ?

Does anyone think it’s strange that TW has been given the caretaker role, the man hasn’t managed since DC was a nippy winger instead of giving Hargreaves/Mansell a crack. This leads me to one conclusion that they already have someone in line to take over, otherwise you’d have given those two a go to prove themselves as had happend before. I see John Terry mentioned before could be a shout, has been serving his apprenticeship well at Villa and would fit with our unofficial link with Chelsea. Stranger things have happend

That because there isn’t going to be one. We’ve already been told by Wael. Thanks for the continuous negative statements based on nothing, it’s appreciated 👍

Potentially sounding great, obviously not getting hopes up too much. Few months ago on here someone had done the research of land the Fm would entail comparing it with Cardiff and Preston etc, does anyone have that info to hand, still also how much would BW add to this ? Put yourself in Waels shoes, you’ve come into a big inheritance, you could seize on potential land grab with business purchases coming at a great rate, council backed redevelopment schemes ongoing around BTM. This seems like the perfect storm heading in our favour and for Wael from a football perspective but also a business perspective. 🤞🤞

What stands out for me about Kolki is he left the bright lights of London for Burnley at a very young age. That shows a lot of strength and character for a young man trying to make his way. Good luck What are you trying to say, that Burnley is a shithole? 😝 A place to build character 😜

Could admin close this thread as its now made its point. Give BG and the team a chance. Naa keep it up, people have a right to an opinion but some of the posts earlier in the season were disgraceful. Hopefully a few of them can feel embarrassed now looking back. I remember being ridiculed in the Ipswich game for being a rose tinter and a moderator actually being smug that we’d lost, embarrassing.

Looking at the first ten games of the season I’d be happy to have accepted playing well and not returning much against Donnie, Sunderland and Ipswich. However, I was extremely disappointed with the manner of play in all three matches. From Northampton on it is about business here on in and I expect results now. One league win against Northampton and an EFL Trophy draw against Oxford isn’t going to change my opinion on BG. But at least my girlfriends ears will be getting a rest from my thoughts on BG being in charge of Rovers for a little while. I think that we have to accept that the team at the end of last season just did not really adapt to B G ‘s style of play for whatever reason and maybe he was naive in expecting too much too soon from them. This season has been different in that our first team has played 4 games now and the second string 2. The first team were disjointed in the first few games and in my opinion that was due to a number of factors. Firstly the defence had no understanding between them with a reserve goalkeeper and a back 3 who never played together in any preseason friendlies. They were still learning how to play out from the back in a competitive environment and were a disaster waiting to happen. The midfield lacked cohesion and we had no attacking threat. on Saturday the defence looked solid and we now seem to be learning when to play the ball out and when to just hit it forward. The midfield looked better with McCormack as a runner and there was an outlet up front who held the ball. The wing backs looked better. The opposition helped but all in all it looks better and the team is beginning to gel. Last night proved that bit by bit the younger players are maturing into proper footballers able to hold their own in the rigours of a proper game. Walker, Hargreaves and Mehew looked at home but the heads went down for some reason after Luke’s misses and that was down to a lack of maturity and leadership. Tone would not have let that happen. We also lacked a physical presence up front. So all in all I think that we are moving forward. I believe that BG has made mistakes but he is new to management and hopefully smart enough to learn. Personally I feel more encouraged by the last 2 games . I actually enjoy passages of play now and see players who are still developing whereas under GC I loved the team spirit and endeavour but I didn’t see style and enjoyable play. I can’t say much more other than UTG [br 100% agree, sometimes on this forum you really need to shift through the sh** to get the gold good stuff.

We look utterly f**king awful I'm sorry to say. I so want it to work for Garner but f**k me, he is making it tough to see a reason to think he will come good. It was Dam awful when we were at the bottom of league 2 and at the start of the conference only a few years ago, have a look at yourself, bar 2 sloppy goals the game was alright maybe a work in progress.

"It's part of the Club's business strategy to maximise and retain the value of its playing squad. This will occasionally require us to sell players that are going into the final year of their contract. This should also be regarded as an opportunity for other players to come into the team to develop their own careers and help us take the Club forward. How does the club move forward when you sell your best players? What would you have done if you had a player who wants to move, double his wage and who’s out of contract next summer. What would you have done differently from the club ?? We are not Real Madrid 🤨
