I am still in shock that the club closed the forum down. I feel what was such a friendly club has shut the door on us fans and i feel completely alienated. It almost feels like when you get dumped by your girlfriend with whom you are head over heels in love with and told not to bother writting or phoning cos you wont get an answer.
Does anyone else feel like this? Do you think the forum will ever be up and running again?

I think they will realise pretty quickly how they have given away what little control they had over what is said about the players, club and board. I don't think they will have much of a choice but to try to take it back again eventually. They did this before. But now at least the truth will put without moderators changing posts left and right.

It does suck though undoubtedly. I loved that forum. Still I'm hoping this one picks up a few members. The independant forum is good but its very anti board. That's understandable of course but its got to be constructive from now on.

It seems a lot of people have gone to the IF but I cant see which way its going to go.
People starting threads like "welcome refugees but..........." and such is starting to water me off a bit.

Its small but hoping to get it going. I have a lot of sympathy with the IF lads but its just not for me. Id love this forum to come so ewhere near the old OF one. It was a great crack. I can kind of get why the forum was shut down, yes it's a forum and people should be able to express their feelings etc, band constructive criticism should be welcomed, but, some just got plain nasty. Criticize by all means, they deserve it, but what they don't deserve is some of the drivel that was posted. Don't see anyone else rushing in with money to take the club over. If they walk away will we have a club?

Hello all, I think the constant board bashing ras (and others) talk of on here and on the "IF" was always gonna happen when the 2 forums come together..
I really feel that some people really need to wake up to what we are being put through. There's people on that forum who could of told you we would end up where we are (THE CONFERENCE) when we were in L1..
Anyway good luck on this forum, another place for gasheads to chat and probably less intense as the IF..

Nice one Ras,only just spotted your link via the IF.im the Bluedeemer from the old forum but this one wouldn't accept that name.intentions are good on the IF,but too many people who can't let go of the past so I find it too heavy at this delicate time.Hope this forum goes along the lines of the old one as regards having a laugh as well as the serious side.I was gonna suggest keeping any gloating teds off of here,but then I remembered what you did to bcfc82 - hahaha the funniest thing I saw back over there.
Hello to all the old OF people as well.
If you google 'bristol rovers forums' this one doesn't show up,don't know if you can rectify that but I should think you could pick up a fair few more people if you were able to.

Thanks for setting this forum up ras! I understand why there is the board bashing on the AF and have found it very enlightening, especially learning about the board politics that I was completely oblivious to before. However EVERY single thread turns into a bash about the board and it's hugely depressing, I do believe the bashing is warranted however the reason I come on the forum is to cheer me up a bit about the rubbish I have been putting up with, NOT to get even more depressed. I was a long time reader on the OF and some of the threads on there had me in stitches, the dogs in underwear one was a one of the highlights, along with trying to get the wycombe fan to post pictures of his wife!  I really hope that this forum can take off and get to be like the old OF (might want to advertise it on the Facebook group if you haven't already), or even better as this will be moderated by fans. Agreed. Sh1!heads will not be tolerated and will be embarrassed and their email addresses and ip addresses posted. And pictures of their wives.
If we get a few more members and it gets good, Ill make a few people moderators. It should for tge most part run itself.
Again if it gets bigger I will get an easier domain name and get it on googles.
Hoping to stick up a thread for fixtures and another with OS info.
I hope the perverted amongst us will make use of the gentlemans lounge.
I have also invited JTS although for exposure reasons he may choose the IF if he decides to continue at all.
All this to come gasheads but cant do it at tge moment as I am posting off my phone. My rabbit chewed through my laptop cable the little Special lady garden.
