Apparently we are trying to convince Villa to lend us Kelsey Mooney for the season. All I know about him was that he was at Cheltenham last season and is 20 years old. His contract is up this summer also so who knows he could even be a permanent. Villa aren't going to renew his contract and he's been told to find a new club so if we are interested, it will be a permanent signing.

The young striker has put pen to paper on a new deal which keep him at the Club until June 2019.

Wigan have released James Vaughan. He didn't have the best loan spell at Portsmouth this season but only made two starts and can be a prolific goalscorer in this league as shown by his season at Bury a couple of years ago. Don't know what wages he would want but surely to fix our chronic lack of goals, a signing like this would be required?

I see what you're saying but remember it was only recently that he finished top scorer with Bury scoring 24 goals. He hasn't been able to cut it in the Championship for whatever reason but will score goals if given a chance in L1 and as Pirate says, could be a good partner for JCH. I'd see it as Jermaine Easter type signing if he was to come to us.

Anyone to get excited about in any position will do me - not fussy just let’s not leave everything until the last moment! The Tottenham youngster J'Neil Bennett is an exciting winger who could do well for us if we could get him on loan. Scored a couple of days ago for the England U18s and played well. He’s good but pochettino doesn’t like loaning our players he believes has a future

Mayor is surely going to a big club in L1, I would however like us to go in for O’Shea to replace Lines.

I'd hope one of those interested was us, I think he'd add something to us and would prove to be fairly cheap too, we could probably get him with the Checkatrade prize money. After seeing Andy Cook do well, I think we need to consider these sorts of signings. Another lad at County good enough to play at a higher level is their 17/18 Young Player of the Year, left back Scott Duxbury. When he was younger he spent time at Blackburn, Burnley and Preston, but was released from Preston as a 16-year-old. Has the potential to make us some money as I believe he would attract interest from higher within a year or so if he performs how I think he can and develops further. Be interesting to see how he gets on at a higher level with Fylde. One to keep an eye on. www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport/football/afc-fylde-sign-stockport-defender-scott-duxbury-1-9781484

A good young player the club should be keeping an eye on is 19-year-old winger David Ajiboye at Worthing in the Ryman Prem. He has 3 goals from 3 games so far this season. He was on the books of Tottenham before signing a scholarship deal with Brighton in 2015 and last season he also spent some time on loan with Millwall U23s before Brighton released him at the end of the season. Stepped up a couple of divisions to sign for Sutton Utd in the National League. www.thenationalleague.org.uk/gray-gets-down-to-work-as-suttons-new-era-really-s-57103

I mentioned David Ajiboye at Worthing, but I reckon their 27-year-old 6ft 4in goalkeeper Lucas Covolan would be worth monitoring too when he recovers from injury. He is a former Brazil U20 international. I reckon he could do well after stepping up a couple of levels to sign for Gary Johnson at Torquay. www.torquayunited.com/signing-lucas-covolan-cavagnari-signs-for-united/

Not that we particularly need a keeper but Exeter have got a very good one in Christy Pym. Might be worth going in for him whatever happens to Exeter. Signed for Peterborough. Top keeper, will do well there.

He's been transfer listed not released and regardless Pym is a coup for them, been to watch Exeter a few times and he's a class above.
