Another player that would be worth a trial for the development squad is 17-year-old Sonny Carey at Wroxham in the Thurlow Nunn League. He can play as an attacking midfielder, number 10, in a wider role or as a central striker and has scored 14 goals from 25 starts (4 sub appearances) this season for Wroxham. He has also recently represented the England Colleges side in the 2019 Roma Caput Mundi tournament where he scored against Malta. Last season he played for Norwich United in the Thurlow Nunn League and helped them win the Norfolk Senior Cup where he scored 2 goals in the Final. Came through the Norwich City youth system. Norfolk Senior Cup Final goal: Scored his first goal for Kings Lynn Town in the National League North on Tuesday evening after stepping up a few levels following on from getting 17 goals from 32 starts last season for Wroxham in the Thurlow Nunn League. Goal during pre-season vs Stamford: National League North goal from Tuesday night: 18-year-old Carey made his first start in the National League North tonight and scored a 25 yard screamer apparently. Also scored on Saturday in the League after coming on as a sub. Has made 4 starts and 10 sub apps in all competitions scoring 4 goals. Goal from Saturday:

Surprisingly signed for National League North side Blyth Spartans. When asked about Roberts, Spartans boss, former Newcastle midfielder Lee Clark, told the club’s website: “I’m surprised he’s in this situation where he hasn’t got a club, he was the standout player in Newcastle’s under-23s last year. I never thought that we’d be able to bring him into the club." One to keep an eye on. Scored a quality hat-trick on Saturday, his second hat-trick in a week. Another hat-trick from the winger Roberts today as he made it 13 goals in 13 games. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedTweet from a Kettering fan sums it up...

One of my mates at work is a Spartans season ticket holder, he can't believe Callum Roberts is playing at that level but he says he is outstanding. Would love us to look at players like this but I guess the fact he is playing for Blyth implies he wants to stay in the north-east

He recently said in an interview: "At the minute I'm very happy playing at Blyth, but the club and the gaffer knows I want to play at the highest level."

I reckon another winger worth the club scouting is the 18-year-old left footer Tushaune Tyreece-Walters at Greenwich Borough. He is a former Chelsea U18 player and he recently scored 8 goals in 5 games for Greenwich and was voted their Player of the Month. Scored 19 goals in the end last season and still worth monitoring. Now playing for Herne Bay. www.kentonline.co.uk/herne-bay/sport/amp/goals-doing-the-talking-215724/

I was watching Torquay vs Aldershot at the weekend and was impressed with Jamie Reid's movement and finishing. Scored to put them ahead and made a nuisance of himself. 4 goals already for him this season.

A lad that might be worth keeping an eye on is 23-year-old Saidou Khan at Maidstone United. He's impressed this season and been compared to a non-league combination of Harry Winks and N'Golo Kante. Khan was close to joining MK Dons before the appointment of Tisdale scuppered the move. His manager John Still has said: "I think he's a very exciting player. He's almost grown game by game. "His performances have been at a level that you'd like to think could take him to a higher level. How high? We don't know. "If people had said to me that Warren Barton would go on to play for England and Dwight Gayle, Marlon King and Gary Breen would play in the Premier League, I don't know if I would have said, 'yeah, they will' but I always felt they would progress. I feel the same with Saidou. "This boy is going to progress, there's no doubt about it whatsoever. "He's got all the ingredients and in less than half a season he's grown beyond all recognition. "I think he'll play in the Football League," said Still. www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/sport/amp/maidstones-harry-winks-216986/

I wonder if we've had the big 6ft 5in striker Muhammadu Faal watched at Enfield Town?

I understand he's gone to Motherwell now, but Pirate, why was Devante Cole on your wishlist? Fleetwood fans say his attitude is awful and he was very poor for Burton last season and Wigan the season before. Because he has tremendous ability, potential and physical attributes. At the right club and with the right manager he will score goals. If Motherwell dont extend his loan beyond 4th January, Cole could be an option?

I've seen Tranmere a few times this season and the lad on loan from Villa, Hepburn-Murphy looks like a real prospect. Rapid too!

I've mentioned his name numerous times in the thread before he went out on loan. I even told a member of the analysis/scouting department of his availability before he joined Tranmere. Out of contract at Villa next summer.

Saw you mentioned Goodship before pirate.
What were your thoughts of him? I thought he looked pretty decent given hes not long been in the league.
