Impressed by the Newport striker Tristan Abrahams. Strong, holds the ball up well and good pace.

If it was a deciding factor in the deal I could be persuaded. My name shows my age now anyway, some fans don't remember the days when the gas used to attack.
I'm not greedy, I'd take one of the three and be quite happy.

A few 19-year-olds at Hendon worth keeping an eye on. Right back Simeon Olarerin and winger/attacking midfielders Samrai Gebrai and Jayden Clarke.
A brace for Clarke in both games:

Admittedly only seen him once but, I really enjoyed Mohamed Doumbia in midfield for Dukla Prague last weekend. Box to box player, plenty of energy, creative, clever, admittedly he might have just had an excellent game but I'm keen. Now in the Ivory Coast squad.

18-year-old attacking midfielder/forward Theophilus Ofori possibly might be one to keep an eye on a Barnstaple Town in the Southern League. He scored 15 goals last season for Spartan South Midlands Football League club Edgware Town and also scored 38 goals for the West Ham Utd Foundation side in the National League U19 Alliance. Has played for England Colleges side in the past. Only small in stature, but appears to have some ability.

Pirate, your posts highlighting all the academy and non-league talent out there are great. It's always interesting to see how many of them get picked up by league clubs.
Who in our own setup do you think has the potential to make it in the football league?

Who in our own setup do you think has the potential to make it in the football league? Ones yet to make a first team appearance that have a good chance are Kieran Phillips and Joe Budd. We have turned down bids from Southampton in the past for Phillips and Budd is a Wales youth international.

Whilst the international transfer deadline day might not seem that important to clubs outside the premier and championship leagues it does have some significance in that a young starlet hopeful of game time may see that snatched away by the arrival of a bargain foreign import.
Pompey, for example, have been looking to bolster their squad with loan signings from the top two divisions and after today they may be able to set their sights at a higher quality target.
Southampton are looking to get one or two over the line today. That might close the door on someone like Josh Sims until at least the new year and whilst I’d like to see him at the gas, it’s more likely he will get loaned out to Championship club and that in turn might free up that championship club’s equivalent promising youngster for a half season loan to a L1 or L2 club like us.
Hence after today’s dust has settled and we know who has acquired a last minute import to the squad it will be useful to look at the youthful elements of those team’s squads to see if that’s shaken loose any gems that would now get more action on loan than they are likely to see staying put.

Lewis Montsma who joined Lincoln this summer is just one example of a League One club being smart in the international market.

21-year-old striker Ben House one to monitor at Eastleigh. Impressed previously in Reading U18s. Capped at U21 level for Scotland.

Kesna Clarke has impressed in youth team and scored on his first team debut in FA Trophy recently for Tooting & Mitcham. Worth our scouts watching him.

@ Pirate
If you could get any of these strikers in to the club after hearing of Jonahs injury - which would you want the most?
Cheers
