The youngster Jack Thompson impressed at U18 level for Concord Rangers last season scoring 9 goals and contributing 17 assists helping them to win the League and County Cup. Has signed first team forms for this season and will be interesting to see how he progresses and handles the step up. One to keep an eye on.

Has it been leaked Joey spoke yesterday about a young left back on trial that they wanted to do a deal with, the best available free agent left back is Lewis Gordon and the next day the Rovers twitter admin puts out a hinting tweet with the word Flash in it. Obvious who they meant. |

Obvious who they meant. Rovers admin arent the only ones that have been deleting stuff. Gordons wiki said he had signed for the gas after a trial, now its gone.  |

Another youngster in the Wessex League worth scouting is 16-year-old winger Connor Underhill at Fareham Town. Impressed in pre-season and the early season games and scored 2 on Saturday in FA Cup qualifying game.  |

Would be worth club keeping a close eye on the versatile left back Sam Odaudu at Dartford. Impressed captaining their U19s last season winning a Player of the Year award and also enjoyed a successful loan spell at Margate. Quality display last Saturday vs Bath City to be named in the National League South Team Of The Week.

The 21-year-old winger James Berry caught my eye at Macclesfield last season with 18 goals in his 34 appearances and has started the new season well at a higher level with 2 goals. Definitely a lad worth keeping an eye on. He signed scholarship forms with his hometown club Wigan Athletic after being released by Liverpool and then in 2019 Berry joined Hull City after the club agreed a compensation deal with Wigan. If you look at his record it doesn't look great, but still only 25 and there is tremendous ability in him waiting to be unlocked. Would be a risk, but one possibly worth taking if he was affordable. |
