Few players out of contract in Summer 23, free to talk to clubs from end of Dec: Andre Green (Slo. Bratislava) Lewie Coyle (Hull City) Josh Scowen (Wycombe Wanderers) Dennis Adeniran (Sheff Weds) Stephen Humphrys (Hearts on loan from Wigan Ath) Jordan Thorniley (Blackpool) Mark Harris (Cardiff City) Ben Woodburn (PNE) Morgan Fox (Stoke City) Oliver Cooper (Swansea City) James Chester (Derby) Gwion Edwards (Wigan Ath) George Thomas (QPR) Ryan Broom (Cheltenham Town) Brandon Cooper (Swansea City) Ched Evans (PNE) Matt Ritchie (Newcastle) Callum Paterson (Sheff Weds) Liam Lindsay (PNE) You can most certainly cross Ched Evans off that list Given Trevor Clarke's change of fortune at Rovers then anything seems possible! Perhaps Evans is mates with Sinclair? Given Loft seems to miss more games than he plays and Marquis has been a bit of a flop Evans would be a decent signing.

A few areas of improvement to work on, but Phoenix Patterson looks quite a promising player. View AttachmentWill be interesting to see how he gets on in League One.

Another highly-rated 17-year-old defender is Sean Grehan at Bohemian. Scored in Ireland U19 game too. Jamie Mullins also from Bohs has just come and scored a lovely goal and another who looks decent Brighton got a good record scouting Irish talent in recent years.

The 21-year-old winger James Berry caught my eye at Macclesfield last season with 18 goals in his 34 appearances and has started the new season well at a higher level with 2 goals. Definitely a lad worth keeping an eye on. He signed scholarship forms with his hometown club Wigan Athletic after being released by Liverpool and then in 2019 Berry joined Hull City after the club agreed a compensation deal with Wigan. One of Saturdays goals 4 goals and 2 assists: Looks a real class act this lad James Berry. 24 goals for the season now for the winger after back to back hat-tricks. Excellent Hat-trick: Excellent Hat-trick:

Sometimes you are left scratching your head as to why a player is playing at such a low level and the case of Giorgio Rasulo is one of those. It wasn't until Sam Finley was 25 that he joined a club at League One level and it wouldn’t surprise me if Rasulo did something similar. Not afraid to put his foot in, he can pick a pass, go past his marker and score/create a goal from open play or from a free kick. He's got enough ability to be playing in EFL. Rasulo a midfielder who made first team debut for MK Dons at the age of just 15 in an FA Cup tie against Cambridge City. He would go on to make his Football League debut, aged just 16, in the final game of the 2012/13 season. He also previously represented England at U16 and U17 levels and was highly-rated as a youngster. The Banbury United captain should be playing at a higher level and one day I hope he is again given the opportunity to play at a level befitting his ability. Assist

The reason most of them didn't was that they were in profession's like Banking, Stockbroking, Chartered Surveyors to name a few and with their salary and part time Football wages they were earning twice as much as they would get by signing for most League 1 and 2 clubs. Unless it was a top end League 1 club say like a Sheffield Wednesday or Ipswich, or a Championship club offering them more than their employers, it's not financially worth their while. So they're better off playing Non League.

Yes Gastafari, that is an excellent point and there are several players in the past that I know of that could have either stayed at or joined a Football League club, but the wage on offer to play in non-league combined with the other job salary made it more attractive to go down or stay in the non-league route. My local side Weston-super-Mare for example have Dayle Grubb and Scott Laird who both were offered deals to stay in League Two/National League, but the wage offered by Weston added to roles offered in the teaching profession (and a Weston coaching role for Laird) meant the part-time playing route further down the pyramid was the more attractive option. Perhaps it is a similar situation for Rasulo.

He was one that caught my eye coming through the England youth ranks and looked to have a very bright future. Nottingham Forest got £8 million for him, but since then his career hasn't really taken off and flourished as expected. Still only 22-year-old though, so he has plenty of time to make a positive impact and name for himself in the game.

Seemed OK from limited footage I saw, but apparently off to Hartlepool on loan to join up with the recent signing of Peter Hartley.

Can’t see it would happen but would be a potentially very good signing all round if fit and up for it

Would love Joey and the staff to get their hands on Callum Gribbin and get the best out of him. What a player.

That’s a shame for him. Hopefully he can sort the issues and get playing! It's a real shame he's being prevented from playing at a higher level, especially as he's been in the country for a few years now. Would be a real asset at league level and as I pointed out previously, some even think he's better than Dwight Gayle who played in the same league as Kone. Really is sad that red tape prevents this kid Richard Kone from playing any higher. An absolute gem of a player with potential to tear up the EFL with the right coaching and guidance.

Will be interesting to see how his 18-year-old teammate Nathan Odokonyero develops at Bognor too. Started his career at Chelsea as an U9 before moving to Brighton as an U13 in 2015. Scored a 18 goals in 16 games for their U16s in 18-19, before joining Lincoln City. Last season he scored 14 goals for the u18s but was released at the end of the season. One to monitor for the development squad perhaps. Wouldn't be surprised if Nathan Odokonyero has caught the eye of higher level clubs. A bit raw and rough around the edges, but 23 goals so far this season in all comps.

Mentioned Richard Asamoah on the thread previously when he was impressing at Woodford Town, but since joining higher level Waltham Abbey he has continued to catch the eye with 14 goals in 26 starts (+4 sub apps). Potential to play as a left back, wing back or further forward as a winger. Worth a trial.

Kobe Hall has scored a number of goals at various age groups for Kidderminster Harriers this season and is highly-rated. Well worth the club monitoring his progress.
