Don't, I'm still not over us signing Mohamed Doumbia. I know he was born in France, but nothing beats Moussa Dagnogo running about looking like he'd won a competition to play. 😆

I think we should have a look Chris Conn-Clarke at Altrincham 23 goals from midfield and only 22 so still have room to develop him.

Don't, I'm still not over us signing Mohamed Doumbia. Some talented players still playing over in Ivory Coast by the way. 18-year-old Abdoulaye Kante scored a club record 4 goals in one game recently and his teammates Valy Konaté and Abdoulaye Djire look good prospects too. However, INEOS have a stake in Racing Club Abidjan so any talented lads will likely end up at one of Sir Jim's clubs!

Having one eye on Saarbrücken from Third tier of German football getting to the Semi Finals of DFL-Pokal has been fun
They beat 3 Bundesliga sides on route to the semis.
German lower leagues is a level we should be tapping for some gems imo!

Dan Ellison, 18/19 year old CB at Chippenham could be a decent pickup, even if with a view to loaning back out to conference/league 2 level over next couple of years before being ready.
Had a trial at Sheffield Wednesday towards the end of last calender year.

I watched Henor Town v Long Eaton in a mouthwatering Derbyshire County Cup tie the other week when in the area and the stand out player was a nippy striker for Heanor called Sacha Markelic; was a bit of an old school Michael Owen type forward who played on the shoulder but his link up play was decent too.
On subsequent research he's scored 26 in 38 appearances this season and has already agreed to step up 2 levels next season to play for Ilkeston. He's 23 so not the youngest, but will watch how he gets on.

Mauritania 🇲🇷 have a really interesting crop of players and have been improving over the past couple of years, as you can see from their recent AFCON results. They have at least 4 OR 5 players still playing in CAF region that would do well in League One, higher if clubs had a look. Two of them, Bodda Mouhsine and Ibrahima Keita, started in an impressive 0-0 draw against a strong Morocco side a week or so ago. If there was any chance, I'd have them under serious consideration. Uganda have got a promising group of players worth enquiring about too and not just Rogers Torach and Allan Oyirwoth already mentioned. One of the group Rogers Mugisha recently moved to Danish 2nd tier club AC Horsens (average attendance 1,782). Incidentally from the CAF region they also signed the outstanding Gambia youth international CB Alagie Saine on a permanent after taking him on loan direct from a Gambian club and this summer sold Gambian youth international James Gomez for over £1million after signing him initially for about £50k. Definitely not Sam Nombe he was dreadful last night and cannot believe how out of condition he looked.
Still think we should look at Sonny cox at Exeter worth a punt, strong and fast good finisher.

Mali producing some exceptional players and still some of them playing in the CAF region that havent been picked up by other clubs and might possibly be affordable and attainable for a club at League One level?

Talking of Senegal, I watched the famous Génération Foot yesterday and two players stood out. Idrissa Guèye and Apha Toure. I'm aware of the partnership between Metz and Génération Foot and I understand the outstanding CF Guèye is lined up for a move to France next January when he turns 18, but Toure turned 18 last January and if he already had something lined up then I would have imagined he would have moved then. Could be an opportunity? He captained the Generation Foot senior side yesterday at 18-year-old and on occasions he has captained Senegal at youth international level too. A promising versatile CM, LB or CB. View Attachment pirate have you applied with the gas to be a scout. New regime may be interested?
