Indeed. Also Wycombe had Alfie Mawson on loan and have Aaron Pierre. They also had Jason McCarthy on loan from Saints who recently signed for Barnsley and looks very promising!

Heard 2 very interesting things today Spoke to someone today who allegedly has a good contact at the Rovers and he did seem well informed and very sincere when speaking about it but apparently 2 deals have been done with players already mentioned. At the moment I'm taking this with a pinch of salt but if he's correct they certainly are very good signings ones which all gasheads will approve of I won't mention any names just in case. Also there's a rumor floating round that the Snake wants away from the Teds in January if things don't improve apparently he's had a ding dong with Johnson heard this from 2 different sources so wondering if there is an element of truth behind it

He never showed any dissent just got on with the job so this story looks like total crap to me.

With new coach/scout Brian Dutton going over to Real Oviedo this summer to study the club's methods and players, are we likely to see any foreign recruits during this window? One of his roles is identifying players from abroad who could fit into Rovers' side. 26-year-old, former Spain U17/U19 international, Dani Aquino, could be one of those players. The former Real Oviedo player scored 27 goals in 45 appearances for third tier side Racing Santander during the 16/17 season. The left footer can play on either wing or as a striker. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Aquino_Pintos

Forest Green Rovers have turned down an approach from an unnamed League One club for striker Christian Doidge. #fgrfc Deck us! Rotherham United boss Paul Warne followed up the signing of striker David Ball by declaring Wembley hot-shot Christian Doidge is another frontman on his wanted list. “Yeah, I like him. I’ve said since day one I like him,” he told The Star. “We put an offer in for him which got turned down. We’re still in the process of deciding our next move. “It was unlucky for me because we’ve liked him since Christmas and then me and Hammy (coach Matt Hamshaw) went on watch him in the play-off final. He had a great game as a No 9 and scored a great goal and they got promoted. “I left Wembley that day pretty dejected because I thought it would be a lot harder getting a player out of a promoted team in League Two, and they’re not a poor League Two team either. I do like him, but I don’t know which way it is going to go. We’re still pursuing it.” www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/rotherham-united/rotherham-united-millers-boss-warne-reveals-the-strikers-he-does-and-doesn-t-want-1-8610646/amp

I wonder how many targets we've missed out on, or going to miss out on?! Crap stadia don't attract perhaps?!

I wonder how many targets we've missed out on, or going to miss out on?! Crap stadia don't attract perhaps?! We'll never know, but that's why DC has several targets for each position. Usually more about money than facilities anyway.
Personally I don't think the club is a hard sell at the moment. The setup from top to bottom is better than ever and players will be fully aware that we are progressing nicely. With DC signed on for the foreseeable future, there is also no uncertainty there.

I wonder how many targets we've missed out on, or going to miss out on?! Crap stadia don't attract perhaps?! The fact that DC has signed a 5 year deal make the Rovers more attractive than most clubs in league 1 DC has always been about progression and infrastructure of the club, whilst the current facilities are very poor at the Mem I don't think DC would of signed a new contract if the gas were staying at the Mem. The fact that DC has signed a lengthy contract of 5 years has only convinced me further that UWE is happening. Instead looking at from in the box stand outside and look into the box and read between the lines ask yourself why would he possibly sign a contract for 5 years if things were not happening when he could quite easy go to a bigger club where they have a sparkling new stadium and decent training facilities already in place no brainer really. The Peterborough Telegraph are reporting Rotherham are interested in signing Michael Bostwick. He was excellent when he was younger playing at Ebbsfleet united. That was a long time ago and he was very much a box to box man not sure if he still plays that way ? or sits deeper ?

Plays mainly a holding defensive midfield role these days, although he played a few games at centre back too last season. DC said he wants a defensive midfielder, I would have preferred Bryn Morris, but Bostwick or Matt Crooks could be decent options.
