Looks a real player. Lovely left foot. I think I'm right in saying he earns about £2,400-per-week, so not on massive money compared to some of his team mates. I doubt he'd move to League One, but you never know. His next move will be a big one, could easily play top Championship level right now. Just shows players are out there, and if you have decent contacts and scouting networks you can catch them early enough to bring in cheaply and sell high. I think you're right. I wonder if he is actually on the England U21 scouting radar too? Watching our performances in the Euros he wouldn't look out of place in that setup.

Thats what surprised me when I checked his profile, no England honours even at schoolboy level. Better hope he doesnt opt to play for USA!

Just noticed Riccardo Vaz Te is without a club. Scored 25 goals from 40 apps for Turkish club Akhisar Belediyespor last season. Would probably score goals for us if he was prepared to play in League One and was affordable.

Jack Marriott is a promising player despite a relatively quiet 16/17 season for Luton. He was their 15/16 player and young player of the season. The 22-year-old has a total career record of 46 goals in 95 starts. Decent pace, good movement, plays on the shoulder and can score off both feet. Luton have Danny Hylton, Isaac Vassell and now potentially James Collins, so might be willing to do business.

Could be Virgo MK2, what happened to wanting young hungry players on the way up rather than players on the way down looking for their final contract?

Turner is a class act and a good pro by all accounts. There is nothing wrong with signing experience if they have the hunger and desire, it's about getting the balance right between youth and experience. Lockyer could even improve further working alongside someone like Turner.

I guess the only wishlist that is important is the one that DC has. I suppose it's pretty frustrating not to have had more than the two we've had but tbh Sercombe is a top signing in this division and if that is an indication of DCs thinking then I'm quite happy. Hope we sign quality over quantity and players on their way up not on their way down. That will probably mean players who've done well in the Conference or League 2 or players who can't force their way into PL or Championship teams. Seeing the other clubs beginning to sign players is probably a sign that in this last week of June things will begin to hot up. Pretty sure that we will see 2 keepers, 2 attackers and possibly a CH in the next two weeks which will be supplemented by some loans coming in during early August. We're probably ok in midfield and a lot of signings elsewhere have been midfielders. With loans, I reckon all clubs will want to see their youngsters in pre season training which should stop any loans in that time. Understandably the bigger clubs will want to see them against their better players before deciding about if and where to loan them to so we will need to be more patient over these loans which might mean no Lumley or Sweeney until days before the season starts if at all. In DC we should trust and UTG!

We're probably ok in midfield and a lot of signings elsewhere have been midfielders. DC said he wants a defensive midfielder and a left winger that can cut inside. I think we could do with two wingers.

21-year-old Cameron King could be worth a trial this summer. He's a product of the Norwich City academy and helped them win the 12/13 FA Youth Cup beating Chelsea in the final. He made his first team debut in the League Cup against Shrewsbury during 2014. He was part of the Scotland U18s squad and has also played 2 games, scoring 1 goal, for the Scotland U21 side. King was released by Norwich during June 2016, this was early as Cameron had been suffering from migraines whilst playing. After receiving medical advice he was ready to get back out on the pitch, starting at step five of the non-league pyramid joining his hometown side Thetford Town during August 2016. Thetford boss Danny White said “He’s seen a specialist to get help but he’s a lad with a lot of potential, it’s just a matter of time before he goes on to play at a higher level. But in the meantime it’s a massive coup for us as a club, hopefully it benefits us and hopefully him if he plays regularly, gets fitter and impresses." King finished the 16/17 season with 17 goals and numerous assists. Priestley Griffiths is also definitely a player worth taking on trial to have a closer look at. He's a 20-year-old former Middlesbrough Academy player and six cap England U17 international currently playing for Bishop Auckland. He scored 7 goals and created about 10 assists for them last season and impressed. He can play as a holding or attacking central midfielder and also as a right back. www.farsleyceltic.com/teams/82132/match-centre/2-37301/videos/87218#.WRSSvDHOIzU.linkA couple of strikers worth trialling this summer are 22-year-old Craig Hutchinson at Billingham Town and 18-year-old Kyle Patton at Whitby Town. Hutchinson scored 59 Goals during 16/17, an impressive number at any level, and attracted scouts from above. Patton has scored 20 goals from 29 starts for both Whitby Town and his previous club Durham City and could be worth looking at in pre-season.

Absolutely, I guess Brighton will want to try him in the Championship next though which is the trouble with players already previously loaned to L1 sides.

Absolutely, I guess Brighton will want to try him in the Championship next though which is the trouble with players already previously loaned to L1 sides.
28th June Christian Walton lined up for League One loan by Albion Andy Naylor Chief sports reporter ALBION will loan Christian Walton back out to League One – once they sign another goalkeeper and he signs a new deal. Wigan, Portsmouth and Peterborough are all interested in borrowing the Cornish giant. Walton, 21, is about to enter the final year of his contract. Albion rate the 6ft 4in shot-stopper highly and want to continue his education by building up more first team experience, rather than limiting him to a diet of development football and inactivity. The Seagulls plan to sign a third senior goalkeeper for the Premier League following the departure of last season’s No.1 David Stockdale to Birmingham and the club record capture of Australian international Maty Ryan from Valencia. Finn Niki Maenpaa, Stockdale’s understudy for the past two seasons, has agreed a new deal and is expected to soon put pen to paper. Walton has accumulated 50 senior appearances in loan spells two seasons ago with Bury and his first club Plymouth Argyle, then last season at Luton Town and Southend United. He also played four games for Albion three seasons ago, three of them during the ill-fated reign of Sami Hyypia and one at the end of the campaign under current managerChris Hughton. Hughton told The Argus: “The interest we’ve had has been League One. I’d expect him to go there. “He is going into his last year. We are aware of that and we are keen on him signing a new deal. We want him to stay.” www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/15375620.Walton_lined_up_for_League_One_loan_by_Albion/

Excellent news for L1. Strange though as I would have thought as he is in his final year of his contract they would want to test him in the Championship before deciding on another contract?

Perhaps most clubs at Championship level already have a first choice and the only way Walton will get game time/experience is by playing regularly in League One?

The Shamrock Rovers 22-year-old midfielder Brandon Miele is worth a closer look. The Ireland U19/U21 cap has impressed in the League of Ireland scoring 25 goals in 79 appearances and was named the 2015 PFAI Young Player of the Year. The former Newcastle United youth can play on the left, right or through the centre.

I wold have hoped we would forge a good link with Saints, after all we did send them to the Premiership by letting them have Lambert!! They have a lot of players from the South West due to their excellent scouting system so loanees would probably prefer to stay close.

Plus their satellite academy in Bath, which Gareth Bale came through. I believe it's based at the university, although they were thinking about closing it at one stage due to the introduction of the eppp rules.
