Would you take a point against Braintree?
I never thought I'd say it but I'd happily take a point against the Braintree!

No, I don't think we can look at it like that after Altrincham.
We need to win.

This is a game we can win providing we go with the right attitude. A draw tomorrow would mean 12+ teams improving relative to us. I would not take a draw at the moment. I reserve the right to change my mind during the game ... but no ... not worth banking a point just now ... 3 points please.

I expect us to win, but we are just not scoring enough goals, which means it could go either way.

Braintree are better than they sound. They finished just outside the playoffs last season so are clearly not a bad side. Having said that, I am feeling optimistic in light of the improved results and performances and to actually take a draw is very pessimistic.
I'm really hoping this can be the start of our first run of results in yonks. The amount of times we have won or gone a couple of games unbeaten and then lost again is unreal and it is about time we shown a good run of form.

No chance!
I expect us to go out and win every game!
Player for player we were better than Halifax & FGR (the games I have seen). If our attitude is spot on, then we should win tomorrow, and the majority of games this season!
This is Braintree's cup final! Raise your expectations and believe that we can win - just as teams like Leeds, Southampton & Norwich did when we played them in L1.
Nothing to fear in this awful league if the players do what they are supposed to do! I think we have a squad that differs greatly from last years talented (not even sure they were!!!?) bunch of wasters!!!

Just depends on which Rovers turns up. I dread the thought of another Altrincham. I really hope the lessons have been learned. Perhaps the players will have their lunch this time.

If we had gone to Braintree as a League side we would have expected to win. No need to think otherwise now. We have a better all round team to last season and so should be approaching the game to win but i would take a draw as long as we win on Tuesday.

DC really does not come across as the type to ever want anything other than a win, no matter who it's against or whether it's home or away and neither should he.
It's ours for the taking tomorrow

4 points from the next two games will be fine with me, after 7 from the last 9 points available.
Momentum is key.

I read somewhere that we were deluded if we thought that all the other teams in the Conference were taking every game against us like a giant killing cup tie.
Well obviously I'm deluded (nearly). Not every club will be out to beat us because of who we are, but many will and I'm 100% sure Braintree will be one. The Rovers are going to have a game on their hands today.
It sounded like Dave Martin was causing all kinds of problems and got his Halifax marker booked early on. Hopefully he can do the same. It's a shame Ellis is away because if he gets going he could cause problems running at defences too.

its a tough game but i think we will go for the win and get it,,,one thing we havnt done in our good run has been to punish telford, forest green and halifax with more goals when weve been in command of the game,i think we have it in the team to be more ruthless just would be nice to see it happen.

Having seen the last 2 home games I can't say we've been outstanding, but results breed confidence and I'd like to think our little run can be extended. There are signs of optimism, I've been impressed with Martin and I think Cunningham will be relieved to be off he mark. Hopefully that will open the floodgates for him and he can go on a nice run too. We need White/Taylor/Brunt to get off the mark soon and chip in with a few goals too, for their own confidence as much as anything.
Braintree have won 3 lost 3 and are a point above us. Nothing to fear here IMO. Barnet aside, we've faired ok against the sides above us in the table so far.
If the confidence continues to build then 3pts to us this afternoon.

Also the back 4 is looking settled now and is in much better shape than Altrincham.

Whilst I don't think we should settle for a point in any game this season, I probably wouldn't be that disappointed if we ended up with a point today, I would be disappointed if we didn't at least look like we are capable of scoring a few goals.
