In reply to the original thread header, the nearest local bar. For crying out loud Rovers, Braintree? Really? Just sort it out, right now!

How had we turned a corner? We weren't exactly great against Telford and Halifax can feel very hard done by not to have got at least a point. DC has to go. We were getting points on the board and tightening up defensively. Hugo i would never have appointed DC as assistant manager let alone manager but i just dont know what would turn our fortunes around. We must be brave now and make a big decision on how to turn our season around.

Yeah, we got some points but I have seen nothing from a single DC game that I can take anything positive from neither this season or the last. (I have only missed one home game of DC's time in charge)

That wasn't a good sign to start with me. i'd rather he rolled his sleeves up after Mansfield and said "Lets start putting this right tonight" Even thought myself it might be crocodile tears, hope i'm wrong. Had doubts about DC from the start. Pleeeeeeease let me be completely wrong

There is little else that fans can do to support this Club because recent history proves they have no detectable effect. But we can let the BoD, Manager and Players know that we have had enough, especially of throwing in the towel with 30 mins to go as at Braintree today. At the Wrexham game as BRFC take to the field perhaps in protest there should be silence as Fans turn their backs for 2 minutes. We should not tolerate losing to part-timers after 60 minutes play, not even to the top Premiership teams in this country. We need to get the message across. It will get reported by the media.

What I can't understand is how JW, who failed completely last season, was allowed to basically choose his replacement and after leading us to relegation DC was then rewarded with the manager's job.
If he wasn't already at the club would Salisbury manager been at the top of any of our lists to be appointed our next manager?
We need an experienced manager in charge not a rookie learning the ropes, as if it continues our home gates will be dropping from the present 5,500 to less than 4,500 come the winter months, that's a loss of around £20K per home match.

Not happy with dc today. Been behind him so far but he disappointed me today. Most of the players seemed to give up and accept defeat after the second goal. Rather than being the vocal man he usually is he sat down for pretty much the rest of the match after the second goal. No attempts to galvanise the team. Looked to me like he gave up with the players and accepted defeat far too early.

He publically said he wanted an experienced league manager, he couldnt find anyone and got lazy when he rang DC about a pre season friendly.

This is only a criticism of myself but i think i have struggled to get over my belief that DCs appointment as assistant manager was an accident not a brain wave and his appointment as manager an act of desperation that never worked. I fail to see how we could hire someone as manager without interview or competetive process especially as its not like we were succesfull when he was on the coaching staff so we could describe him as an exellent coach. His start as a manager last year was poor as was pre season and the start of this. That aside sacking managers hasnt worked for us and we have not played many games this season. After the last 3 games i felt we had turned a corner and would start improving. This i a really really tough call to make. I think this month will make or break him. I wish him well as he is a nice bloke who really wants to do well. He is NOR a nice bloke. Whatever have you that idea.

I meant in how he found it so easy to slag players and Wardy off yet has done NOTHING of note himself in this or a higher league. I think he is a blagger pure and simple. The tears were false I believe and he is now being exposed before his peers. He was used to a team where his players called him Dazz and got away with it. He is not up to it and nor are most of these players.
