When so many Players perform so badly for 3 out of the first 7 games you wonder what is the point of it all when many Supporters have reported feeling so thoroughly miserable about the continuing demise, the fact that our Team has made us a laughing stock by all who are familiar with that demise. Higgs & Co have made many errors with mammoth consequences for BRFC.
Persuading Ward to carry on as manager in the Summer of 2013 was hugely irresponsible, as why would we want to be managed by a man who did not want the job? So Higgs lit the fuse and turned the other way to deal with Sainsbury as the bombs exploded all around him. "John said, we had enough quality to escape relegation, we would be alright." If Higgs has accepted blame for this debacle then I have missed it. Why did Higgs not see the danger that so many Supporters saw throughout last Season. Higgs declared, "relegation was due to a lack of goals". Higgs blamed Ward when it was Higgs own decisions surrounding Ward that caused the calamity. Surely there would have been a hue and cry had Supporters known that Ward did not want the job especially with the poor job Ward was making of it and could have been removed by October, meaning that DC would probably have not been risked as his replacement at that time. We then would have put a new Manager in place which could have change the outcome.
Everything surrounding Higgs seems to have gone badly wrong although I am certain his intentions are good. Managers, Players and Stadium plans come and go and the most sickening thing is that they all turn rotten, yes BRFC are rotten, not fit for purpose. For the third time of asking in the last 4 months, Higgs please step aside and leave the decision making to those that are much more competent.
