The Chimp, aka Mr 30/70 has tweeted saying that Sweeney is set to sign by the weekend. Will be absolutely made up if we got him for a season.

If the Chimp is correct then that would be another key piece slotted into the BRFC jigsaw. That would probably just leave a winger and another striker to get.

Quite a few people have said the same. That's why the chimp has now tweeted the rumour, like he suggests does! Hoping he will sign, when the squad get back from Portugal.

Would have thought Sweeney would have jumped at the chance to go on the tour rather than wait for them to return, so I'd take this as Chimp just edging his bets. Are they not coming back tomorrow though? I have heard the Sweeney rumour from a few different people before the chimp. Hoping there is some truth behind it. |

I gave up looking at chimp's tweets long ago, his profile picture creeps me out.
If we sign someone the club will announce it. Why bother with spoilers? Especially when most are complete nonsense.

To Switzerland with his club Stoke City. No doubt Mark Hughes wanted to take a view. It was towards the end of the tour that it was reported in SCFC media releases that he was happy to go on loan somewhere this season but long term he saw a future at Stoke. I posted a link to that on here last week sometime. |
