Like others said the fact his contract has under a year left is so poor. He was clearly the only player capable end of last season. Should have 1 year plus in his contract. when will the club learn. How do you know he didn't turn down an extension?

Last home game he looked like he wanted to avoid injury IMO. I did think at the time that a move was on the cards! Wait and see I guess! I totally agree, I thought it was pretty obvious,he took his goals well but he didn't track back a lot and didn't seem that interested...Very similar to the snake before he left...I can see him going by next week..he's got to be worth at least a milllion!!! If it happens I can see us upping our bid for wheeler with the money! of course you agree we are both from twerton!

True story, I once dated a young lady who lived in a flat in Twerton, just a few yards from the ground. We were being 'friendly' in her flat one Tuesday evening that Bath were playing and my climax happened at the exact moment Bath scored, followed by highly audible cheering and applause. It was as if they were cheering for me, and I have to say that this is one of the happiest memories of my sad life

Muzzy made the championship! Bodins just as good so can see him going! We have Sod all to offer good players nowadays! Muzzy got his move after a very good 33% of one season. BBB will get his move after a good 2 - 3 seasons.

It's worth remembering that Billy came here off the back of a serious career threatening injury. While the medics have done wonders to get him back playing and he's doing well at league one level, it could affect the longevity of his career and be closely looked at in any fitness test by another club.

Not sure why you're calling the club out when offering a contract doesn't automatically mean it's accepted. We shouldn't sell our best player if we're aiming for promotion regardless of him having a year left.

After the Taylor fiasco, I would imagine the club will be asking top dollar for BB, unless the club has allowed him to sign with a stupid release clause written in to his contract ala the snake. Don't want to see him leave but if he has turned down a new contract it would be an ideal opportunity to recap some of the lost money from the city deal for Taylor if no release figure is in his present contract. Personally I can't see him going in this transfer window, you never know he may sign a new contract for us before the start of next season, after we are promoted to the Championship! UTG!

He has less than a year on his contract and could go for nothing in July, we are in a weak bargaining position. So should we let all our best players run their contracts down and then leave for nothing, just because we are going for promotion that season? This is not me calling out the player or the club. Just talking sense. We sell a very good player for some money or give away a very good player for free at the end of the season.

We win and BB scores so it's all doom and gloom on here about him leaving! Perhaps some fans would have been happier if he'd scored and we'd lost!

Not really, i think collectively we all want the same thing and that is Billy to Sign a contract extensions.. or we could have a repeat of last January on our hands.

If we're serious surely we want to keep our best players? If we go up - he'll probably re-sign with us. If we don't, we lose him for nothing. It's not easy to replace players like Billy.

Just have different ways of expressing it! UTG

If were brutally honest its not in his interests to sign a new contract. Right now he can be signed at a reasonable price for the buying club which will help him get a good move and a better salary. Don't see any reason why he would sign a new deal. Speaking to a friend of his, he is happy at Rovers but would welcome a move to the Chanpionship. Like every other player in League 1 then.

Muzzy made the championship! Bodins just as good so can see him going! We have Sod all to offer good players nowadays! Plus we now have none of the attractions like a new stadium or a definite progression off of the field. He has lots of scouts watching him and if a friend is to be believed then City are also in the mix

Frankly the team can not afford him going. There are not enough goal sources to replace him. It is BB that is papering over the cracks of the loss of the snake last year. Is it better to get money now and hope new players can replace his goals and contributions to the game ? or get the most out of him this season and hope rovers can get promotion or do well enough that BB signs again ?
