The season's just about to start, players looking sharp, and the unity in the squad continues to be stronger than ever seen. Gone are the days of journeymen (although we still crave those signings).
Numerous players and former players have come out saying the spirit is the best they have ever experienced.
I read between the lines in the light of yesterdays news and Hamers conference, he had a smile on his face which suggest's we are now in the driving seat. I do wonder if some of you are not familiar with how business works, if your expecting him to come out and tell you the full story, the ins and outs of every dialogue and transaction, dream on!
Again we have improved our side this year and with a couple of additions we will be all set, good competition for places that weren't before (two good keepers, a LB to keep brown right on his toes for sure, arguably Peterborough best striker, was not so long ago Peteborough were taking one of our best players (Michael Smith).. look where we have come!?
Lets not be like the Teds and squabble between ourselves, we have taken worse hits than this for sure!
UTG, lets have you Charlton, lets set that statement of intent from the off!

You got to think of how the players think about the stadium. Maybe DC used the stadium proposal as a ploy to get the players here, and now it's not happening, a less than positive atmosphere may be going around the camp, as it is in the fanbase.
The players probably wanted the stadium as much as we did.

Send your CV off to westminster to apply for a spin-doctor. I think the two main parties will be fighting to get you !. (Author)

I live in hope we are calling UWE's bluff on this. It does all seem a bit strange.

They are probably content we're paying them x amount and DC is managing them.

Yep now our City rivals are taking our best player. We couldn't control who took him off our hands, very sickening to take but we would have never sold him at any price to city had they not been illegally informed of his release clause. I would rather get the stadium right than end up with a Coventry situation, or even Darlington, who remembers there 25k stadium disaster. Teams like Brentford and Burton have a lower capacity than us and reached and stayed at the next level, to do this feasibly with current infrastructure it can only be done with a complete compensation of team spirit! and we have that. A stadium is on its way that is clear, Hamer was the man who helped the transition of Swansea unless i'm wrong? Its looking good, im a glass half full man, for me the fundamental message for me in this saga is, WE CAN NOW SAY NO!

The fact that they are after our players says a lot about our progress on the field in the last couple of years. The gap on the pitch is as small as it has been for years, and I don't think the fact they had a bigger stadium than us worried me at all in the days when we used to regularly beat them on the pitch. In fact it made it all the sweeter.

I'm not meaning to sound disrespectful, but this way of thinking is probably part of the reason we have been overtaken by most of the FL. Blind faith is exactly that. Many fans at this club seem to be quiet and not ask questions, just happy to pay their money and what will be will be. There is absolutely no reason to think any form of new stadium is on its way, yet even that is open to interpretation (50 years away?). Where is the funding coming from? what have the club been doing for 12 months if UWE have never been welcoming.

Perhaps the most intriguing suggestion put forward is the possibility of some form of collaboration between Rovers and Bristol City Council at the site of the proposed Bristol Arena.

How can it be blind faith, two back to back promotions and a top ten finish, invested more this year on players than in my lifetime, land purchased for new training facilities. Paying higher wages than ever before, wages that have been earned rather than to attract! I trust that funding will be something that Steve Hamer and the Owners will know more about than most of the folke on here. Wael has never done anything but impress me. if he says no deal and its not best for the club, then that is exactly what I shall believe, until he proves me otherwise! A lot more Pros than Cons around our great club!
