Michael Cunnah was not sacked - this is a great example of a rumour starting carelessly on a forum and no doubt spreading. He was a consultant. He came in, he checked out the plans / project, and made his comments. He then was not required until the negotiations were complete. He did he job he was supposed to do, he certainly did not get sacked and had the negotiations gone well he'd have returned. You're mostly likely correct but like Will Dubey their was a big fanfare when he arrived but nothing said when they departed. Has Will Dubey left the club? Do you know when or why?

I assume it's OK to post this on here from FB, if not, the mods are welcome to delete this thread : "Let us be realistic. The redevelopment of the Men did not give a decent financial return to support the investment. The UWE stadium did but it is a leasehold. ( which can be renewed many times over) I suspect Dwayne Sport wanted freehold but in my eyes the value of the stadium for another purchaser is in the revenue returns as long as you have a renewable lease option. A new stadium elsewhere would be more exensive than UWE and planning will be a challenge. Dwayne Sports should not dismiss UWE so quickly and carry on negotiations to resolve their differences. Leasehold and freehold can be on a par financially if the revenue streams are there." It's all very well G D posting comments about UWE or any other aspect of the club, but as an ex-chairman I think it exhibits a complete lack of class. I would be far more impressed if he gave an in-depth interview on the subject in the Evil. I'm surprised they haven't approached him about the subject. After all, he should have an opinion and knowledge worth reading, but this FB sh1t? Naanh.

Because it's so sound bite and brief on social media. This is a man with detailed knowledge of the workings of a club and the problems with getting a stadium over the line. If he were to write or dictate a full and I'd-depth article on the subject I suspect every committed Rovers fan, and a fair few others would read that particular paper. And who is Les?

Whatever you think of Geoff he's a fan and I find his views and insights and background to events interesting. Love it if he joined forum discussions as well.

This might be the same as the UWE deal on offer ? Possibly, but why take 18 months and get to the point of discussing Heads of Terms before realising that was the case, if Wael had told us the feasibility study made the stadium not viable we could have accepted that and just blamed NH! Once he suggested it was feasible we assumed a deal would eventually be agreed. because on the previous "near agreements" the UWE moved the "goal Posts" so they had to start again. The family got watered off with that so gave them a deadline this time. UWE could not be arsed to reply. the rest is history

Sorry but you've lost all credibility on here, compared to the likes of Gasincider, with your constant stadium hints which never turned out to be correct. Although as I said even if UWE didn't respond you'd have thought after spending £m's and years in talks with them, somebody from our legal team would have just emailed or called them to check they didn't intend responding and that the deal was dead, before appearing in front of the press to announce to the world the deal was off.

You are guessing that our legal team hadn't checked? The chap from the local polytech, seemed to have a case of sour grapes in my opinion. Still each to their own

I don't think he has left, and when he arrived his role was kind of talked up too much. He's basically a scout I believe. Or an analyst. Something like that.
