Isn't it good that there is a bit of a difference between the 2 though? Otherwise why have 2 separate competitions? The FA Cup is not exclusively for league clubs - that's where the magic come from! No but the non league teams are soon out and then they both just would be the same really.

Then keep it regional for the first few rounds, but not seed/unseeded where you can only draw a team who is at least a division above you, hardly seems fair?

I have a couple gripes. Why are their seeded and un seeded teams? Is it to get rid of lower league teams asap. Less likely to get a Wycombe go to semis, and more likely to have a "glamour" final. Why are the unseeded teams not given home advantage? It would slightly balance out the unseeded v seeded bull. BOYCOTT. I like the seeded Vs unseeded approach, better to be the Giant Slayer than the Giant being Slayed....... ;-)

But it puts more money in their pockets and if they are good enough they will get through to the next round

I see Leeds have agreed to give Newport half the gate money from there tie next week. This is the normal procedure in these ties but in this case Newport who were drawn at home forfeited that right as their new pitch is not ready and for that reason would have been entitled to nothing. Nice to see Leeds doing this for one of the smaller teams. I hope Cheltenham are not as generous to moneybags West Ham.

Their new £750k desso pitch is being paid for by the Welsh Rugby union after their takeover of the Gwent dragons. The Dragons, Newport rugby club and the football team will all still play at Rodney parade.
