Smith 5 left wide open by shoddy defending Leadbitter 3 poorest performance I have seen by him Brown 4 below par Lockyer 4 back to his poor form midway through last season Sweeney 5 has not looked the same as last season Sinclair 5 100% effort no class Sercombe 6.5 MOM best of a poor bunch Lines 4 too deep to be effective Bodin 5 good in flashes but generally average Nichols 5 looked better 2nd half Harrison 3 very poor
Gaffney 6 more effort than the rest of the team put together Moore 4 what did he do O Clarke 5 should be starting if fit
Ref 4 why did he not send of Grant for 2 footed challenge, should have been his second booking D.C. 5 let down by his team Posh 9 good quality Crowd 4 expected apathy with the performance
Don't think Sercs and Lines can play together, leaves us too open. Need a tighter formation and drop Harrison!!!!

Smith 5 shakey on crosses but very little organisation in front of him Leadbitter 4 poor defending and nothing going forward Lockyer 4 given the run around and left too exposed Sweeney 5 much better to come, also left exposed Brown 5 to much reliance on our fullbacks to be our wingers aswell, not at his best Bodin 5 some nice moments, not much help to Leadbitter who needed it. Sercombe 5 hardly linked with Lines but at least he was a goal threat at times Lines 4 strolled about very little drive and mostly dominated by Posh Sinclair 5 wasted out wide, a bit more effective centrally but little quality Nichols 4 no decent service and a bit greedy at times Harrison 4 no decent service, had one chance and blew it Subs: Moore 4 Gaffney 5 O. Clarke 5 Crowd 5 Ref 4 Peterborough 7 much sharper and organised, fully deserved win

Smith 3.5 Nowhere as busy as Posh keeper but lets in 4
Leadbitter 3 Yard slower than last season and that's his main asset.
Lockyer 3 Seems to have lost peripheral vision that allows opponents to lose him
Sweeney 4 would have been 5 but for the howler for the second goal just when Rovers looked like they would make a game of it.
Brown 5 Defensive work ok, gets a 5 for the cross to Gaffers
Bodin 5 Thought he did well enough
Sercombe 5 Was the driver of the short lived second half revival Lines 4.5 Average
Sinclair 5 Thought he was the best midfielder first half
Nichols 4.5 Some nice touches but little support Harrison 2.5 Without the snake the burden is to much for Ellis
Subs: Moore 4 He gets a 3 for going through the motions + 1 for the pass to Brown
Gaffney 6 Comes on and scores, that's good enough for me
O. Clarke 4 Not the same as last season
Crowd 5 Quiet, can you blame us
Ref 3 Usual National League class REF who never punished the elbow on Lockyer or the two footer on the Beard
Peterborough 6 Can't think of a Rovers player who would have got in their team today, but that's not saying much.
Saw Mildenhall and Easter there. both would have improved the team today. And if Macca had been with them that would have made 3 good changes.

Smith 5 not pro-active enough for me,not helped by the dodgy defending but the jury is still out on him Leadbitter 4 an awful game, probably his worst in a Rovers shirt Lockyer 5.5 hardly an inspiring performance Sweeney 5.5 partly at fault with first goal and scuffed a pass to gift Posh for the second. Brown 5.5 gave his winger far too much space, but good cross for Gaffneys goal Bodin 6 not his day, unlucky with a fine shot that hit the bar Sercombe 6 the best of a poor midfield Lines 4 didnt turn up Sinclair 5.5 produced nothing and even lacked his usual energy Nichols 4 out muscled,a couple of speculative efforts that didnt trouble a good keeper Harrison 3.5 Truly awful, nothing went right for him and as usual his head dropped, we need better. Subs: Moore 4 made no difference, just went sideways and backwards. Gaffney 6 an improvement but we desperately need a big CF O. Clarke 4 made little impact, probably not fully fit. Crowd 7 good numbers, deserved better. Ref 3 shocking Peterborough 7.5 did their homework on us,well organised, they out-thought and out-muscled us and deserved their win

Smith 4 - The poor defense did not help, but his distribution is AWFUL. He has a great big kick on him, but never ends up near a Rovers player. Brown 5 - I have seen him play worse, poor defensive effort in 1st half, but did give a good cross for the goal. Lockyer 3 - Felt that his first half performance was awful, I think it's time to give Broadbent and Sweeney a go for CD. Sweeney 5 - Not the greatest performance. Was hoping for better, his strength was needed though to prevent worse. Leads 2 - Terrible game for him, couldn't defend and was outpaced by his opposite number. Lines 3 - Anonymous I cant remember anything he did. Sercombe 5 - Ok, dodgy first half, got slightly better in the second. Sinclair 4 - Poor, lacked results. Bodin 7 - Great flair, though over did it at times, unlucky to not have found the net. Clearly a class above the rest of the players and if we continue to play as we have we will lose him in January. Harrison 2 - Worst player by far, every ball that was pumped up to him he didn't get to, no heading ability and put no effort into trying to get hold of the ball. I am no Ellis hater, but I fail to see how his supporters would defend this performance. Nichols 5 - Had a couple of nice touches, a bit lightweight though. He could either be the latest Luke James, but you never know, he could become another MT as he has a bit of flair. Jury is out on him.
Gaffers 7 - Breath of fresh air! Immediate impact on the game, actually got hold of the ball and distributed well, he did everything right that Ellis got wrong. Needs to start next week as he is in form. Clarke 6 - Nice to see him back, clearly not fully fit BUT, showed some small flashes of what made him good last season, he's clearly raring to get his teeth sunk into this season, Moore 4 - Lost the ball a fair amount. Couldn't outpace the right back.
Ref 4 Posh 8 - Clinical, reminded me of Leicester on their promotion season. Good Counter Attacking football. Crowd 4 DC 4

Smith 4. Flapped at a couple, saved a couple Leadbitter 2 lucky not to get the hook at half time. Didn't improve in the second half Browner 3 looks like he can play on Tuesdays but not Saturdays at the moment Lockyer 4 unconvincing day at the office Sweeney 6 couple of dodgy moments but looked more solid than his compadres at the back
Lines 5.5 there were at least two players deserved the hook ahead of him he did have a couple of driving runs and a rasping shot blocked. Should not have let Nichols take that woeful free kick Sercombe 4.5 covered some ground but his passes made it look like his boots were on the wrong feet and his shooting looked like his feet were on the wrong legs Sinclair 4 plenty of effort but outplayed, could and perhaps should have been subbed well before the injury
Bodin 7 a class above anything else we had on the pitch and even then he was nowhere near his best. Nichols 4.5 trying too hard to score against his previous club he was shooting from everywhere and most of them were tame or hopeful efforts. One decent shot was well saved. Sinclair's injury probably saved him an early exit and denied Telford a few minutes Harrison 2 blasting over from 5 yards probably summed his day up
Gaffney 6 more effective in his 20 odd minutes than Harrison and Nichols in their combined 160 minutes Moore 2 waste of a substitution Clarke 5 started like the Ollie of last season but then he reverted to the inconsistent hesitant OC of previous campaigns
Peterborough 7 outplayed, outfought and out thought us - got what they deserved Ref 4 more concerned with ensuring no yardage was stolen than making the right decisions Crowd 7 good turnout and did not turn against their misfiring team

Smith 5 unconvincing performance Leadbitter 3 terrible defensive performance. Looked unfit and had no help at all from Bodin Lockyer 4 Sweeney 5 Brown 5 Bodin 4 a few inspired moments but lots of mistakes. Also defensively poor Sercombe 6 best of the bunch but still many mistakes Lines 4 played deep but was not effective as a defensive midfielder Sinclair 4 ineffective Nichols 5 quite lively at times but needs to score goals. Appears quite lightweight Harrison 4 no worse than many others but his bad miss was crucial Subs: Moore 4 Gaffney 5 at least did what a striker is supposed to do O. Clarke 5 Crowd 7 Ref 5 Peterborough 9. Great movement. Well deserved victory

My own opinions from today's game.
Smith 4.5 No howlers, but maybe could have got to at least one of the goals
Leadbitter 3 Worst game I've seen him play. Lockyer 4 Didn't deal well with the pressure Peterborough out him under. Sweeney 3 Mistake for the second goal. Also lucky not to be called for could on multiple occasions Brown 5 Another good assisst. Was forced backwards quite a lot but kept possession for the most part.
Bodin 6.5 Always looking to make stuff happen. Not the bar. Sercombe 6.5 Bright and inventive. Lines 4 Anonymous, I can't recall one thing he did. Sinclair 4.5 Not his fault he's out of position but he lacks the creativity of the rest of the forward like.
Nichols 5.5 Neat interplay at times Harrison 5.5 Did well with limited service in the first half. Missed a good chance in the second.
Subs: Moore 5.5 Did nothing except for release Brown for the goal. Gaffney 6.5 Simple finish for his goal and a couple of positive moves. O. Clarke 5 Added solidity for five minutes after he came on. Then everything seemed to fall to pieces.
Crowd 4 Ref 7.5 A bit picky on throw in placement but let us get away with a bit and no big decisions for him. Peterborough 7.5 Good game plan well executed
Overall, I thought we played quite well going forward with Bodin and Sercombe in particular playing some nice football. Hit the bar twice and a decent save and block from the opposition. Defensively was a shocker though.

Smith 4.5 Seemed a bit Teflon at times.
Leadbitter 4.5 Defensively poor. Got into some good attacking positions but crosses were inconsistent. Lockyer 4. Poor game all round. Sweeney 4.5 slightly better than Locks. Brown 6 Due to our midfield playing just in front of our own penalty box he seemed to be more involved in the game than any other Rovers player in the first half. Wasted a number of passes but the rest of the team did not help matters by their lack of movement into space.
Bodin 6 Showed a lot of good touches but sometimes tried too much. Again this was probably due to the lack of movement by other players. Sercombe 6 Definitely got class but unable to provide any penetrating passes. Lines 3.5 Not in the game. Sinclair 5.5 Tried hard as usual. Regarding him not providing forward passes; He did look for the pass forward but invariably nobody in position to take passes.
Nichols 4.5. Some nice touches but the overall paucity of good attacking play from the team left him watching on. Harrison 3.5. To me it seemed he was instructed to play as a target man and seemed to be concentrating so much on that he forgot the rest of his game. His miss at 0-1 was shocking. He should have hit the target at least.
Subs: Moore 4 Did not affect the game.
Gaffney 6 The only forward threat. O. Clarke 3.5 What has happened to last season's form?
Crowd 4 Very subdued. Ref 4 Poor. Should have at least booked the player who caused Sincs to go off. Peterborough 7.5. Very well organised. Understood and applied their game plan well.
