I'm going for a 3 - 0 win. It's my birthday today, so, if Ellis scores in front of the South Stand, I shall vault the barrier to celebrate with him! Happy Birthday, Mary!

Stewie doing the post-match again? Where's Clarke all of a sudden? Are they brushing up on Stewies media skills or is he being properly groomed now as a replacement ? (Puts on helmet, ducks below parapet . . . ) Darrell is putting Stewie in front of the mic so he is not getting the same transfer window questions thrown at him. I am sure he will be back next w/e after the Bradford game when the window is shut

Very good win against a very good team.
They had a strong spell 2nd half but Harrison killed the game off with a really well taken goal.

A fully deserved mom performance.

Just got home after another xcellent afternoon at the he Mem. I thought Fleetwood were decent, although their main tactic is preventing our attacks seemed to be grabbing, impeding and pulling Gaffers shirt. The referee let them get away with it all game.
I know Stu Sincs got the first, but I wasn't disappointed when he went off, I thought we were more balanced and took control. Nicholls ran his socks off but nothing went for him. Harrison's sub was inspired, he gave their defence a torrid time. The only thing I would have liked to see was Telford instead of Moore. We know what Moore can do, it would have been interesting to o se Telford running against a tiring defence.
Once again Uwe was making himself popular with his touchline antics! I thought Barnard looked decent and that he got off lightly with the Thatchers End.
Ultimately the penalty that wasn't given didn't matter. As far as I'm concerned that's another bit of luck tucked away in the bank,a bit like the Charlton " goal" that we can draw on when we need it.

I thought Parts played well today, never looked flustered, calm on the ball and put in two excellent crosses which led to goals, to add to the excellent assist he got at Bury. Deservedly MOTM.

Same ...just got in and very similar thoughts to you .... Thought Slocombes handling was excellent ... one crazy moment went unpunished but otherwise Manuel Neur esque. Brown ... I was disappointed with his distribution and caught out too many times against a very quick strike force. would give Bola a run. Lockyer / Sweeney ...both ok but passing constantly in the air to Gaffney was not thought through. Fleetwood were actually practising headers 45 minutes before kick off her time and time again the ball got lumped up to RG. Partington .. Excellent ... very impressed . Sinclair ... Scored a goal but we looked better once Lines came on to steady a very average Ollie Clarke. Clarke .. Gave the ball away too many times but better second half. his booking was an appalling refereeing error as it was an outstanding tackle. Bodin... Busy all game and a tremendous strike for the second goal Sercombe ..Industrious and got better as the game progressed. Gaffney ... Worked his socks off and got kicked, pulled , jostled by their Impresssive No 5 and No6 Nicholls... Worked really hard ... but is a striker and needs to be given the chance Harrison ... Spoke to him before the game and wished him luck. Great goal, great shot a few minutes later and looks confident. Thought playing him and Gaffney upfront pushed Fleetwood back and was our best spell in the second half. Byron Moore ... No idea why he came on, added little and Telford would have been a better option. Fleetwood looked decent, organised and quick on the ball.Devante Cole looked excellent and I liked Dempsey their No8 And Hunter their No22 . To bring 91 fans ( we only counted 68) is a joke though.

Uwe Roslers Cod army haha. Did you see that 9Y/O sat down in their end? Must admit he got all their noise going, started off the songs, and was singing all the way till 3-1. Was very impressed by him, but to have a 9y/o as your armies leader says a lot about their fans.

I still can't believe that I almost witnessed a scrap between a group of gasheads that escalated quickly after two fans had a different opinion of whether gaffney was fouled or tripped over his own legs! Was rather comical to say the least!

Not getting that penalty really fired us up and got us back into the game. We were sleepwalking to conceding again before that. sleepwalking ?? sometimes you have to credit opposition. Yeah, you make a fair point. Fleetwood did put us under pressure for that spell. I just felt we had another gear to step up, which clearly we did after the non-penalty award.

I didn't say that Moore can do it. I said we know what he can do. Two totally different things. I thought Fleetwood's travelling support was rubbish. They announced 91? at the end of the game, and that I believe was with subsidised travel! They call the, selves the Cod Army, I'd say that was more of a Cod Platoon. Utterly and abjectly pathetic.
