Couldn't care less except I've got us in a 6 fold win both teams to score that would bank me £20,000 so I hope we win and both teams score.

The rules prevent us making too many changes so i think it will be a strong side. If there is serious interest in bodin i dont think he will be in the squad tonight or at least not starting so that will be interesting. I would hope that irrespective of whether there's interest or not we wouldn't waste our best player on such a pathetic competition.

Wrong, new guidance states: Full Available Strength means EFL clubs must include at least four qualifying players in the ten outfield players named in their starting XI. The four qualifying players must either (a) start the preceding fixture (b) start the fixture immediately after (c) be in the top ten of appearance makers for the club so far that season (d) have made forty or more first team starting appearances in their career to date.

Does anybody know whether this crappy cup competition still has the ridiculous rules whereby we are restricted in the number of changes we can make for fear of getting fined by the EFL or has that been changed for this year? Think the rules are the same because the idea is that prem league under-23 play against experienced pro"s. IF they allowed rovers to play a youth team or weak team it would be of no benefit to the young premier league future england players. Of course none of us give a stuff about any of that and neither do the prem league teams in truth. Wrong there are new rules defining full available strength. Full Available Strength means EFL clubs must include at least four qualifying players in the ten outfield players named in their starting XI. The rule is five players from the previous league game are to be included as a minimum. Slocombe,Partington,O Clarke ,Sercombe ,Gaffney provide this.
I would expect two of these to be subbed off at quite an early point.

Just got to hope that neither Burn nor Broadbent pick up any injuries, otherwise we are shafted for Saturday.

Properties for tonight:
1) no one gets injured 2) other squad members get game time, particularly Broadbent and Burn, 3) crowd is pathetic, 4) the result, we only progress if DC wants the extra games for the squad; personally I'd sooner be out than in.

As reserve team fixtures they are good for fringe players and development players to play with a few first teamers in a competitive match. As long as regulars don't get injured or overtired its fine. Reserve team cup...nothing else.
