Smith 3 Should have saved first two. Didn't actually need to do much else.
Leadbitter 4 Offers nothing but pace. Lockyer 5 Being captain should have got us organised after we equalised, rather than sprinting around like headless chickens. Sweeney 5 Lockyer-Sweeney partnership is not working at the moment. Brown 5
Moore 2 Shocking. O. Clarke 5 Struggled tonight. Sercombe 6.5 MOM Did well despite Oldham overrunning us in the middle. Bodin 6 Ineffective for much of the game on his wrong side, switched to his position and set up Gaffers with a lovely ball.
Nichols 5 Needs a goal badly. Harrison 6 Worked really hard, encouraging performances lately.
Subs: Gaffney 6.5 Lines 6.5 Telford N/A
Crowd 4 Ref 4 Clearly didn't know what to do at the end. Should've been indirect free kick. Oldham 7 Other than throwing away their 2 goal lead, looked a good side.

Smith - 3 - clearly not fit. Should have done better with both goals Leadbitter - 2 - awful. Couldn't defend or attack. Lockyer - 4 - just doesn't fill me with confidence Sweeney - 5 - beaten too easy for the 3 goal Sercombe - 5 - best of a bad bunch. Their midfield over ran us after 20 minutes Clarke - 4 - over run as above. Struggling at the moment Bodin - 4 - non existent apart from assist and a nice 1-2 in the second half. Played on his weaker flank. Moore - 5 - did well first half but awful second Nichols - 5 - nice touches here and there but looks a bit weak. Harrison - 5 - put himself about but missed a sitter first half and vanished in the second Lines - 4 - did nothing when he came on apart from lose possession Telford - 5 - did ok but didn't really have enough time Gaffney - 5 - scored but didn't do a lot else
Ref - 4 - over picky and lost the plot at the end Oldham - 6 - average. Good defending but average elsewhere. Theyll struggle this season

Smith 4 rusty and wary of further injury which made him indecisive where bravery was needed. He'd expect to keep the first two out when in nick Leadbitter 5 looked better at defending than Saturday, couldn't beat his man going forward Brown 5 strangely uncertain going forward. Think he may have been one of the players DC was suggesting needs to start showing the top six mentality and form Sweeney 6 surprising to see him galloping down the left wing on several occasions and generally was better attacking than defending for once Lockyer 7 best of the defenders Moore 4 actually started quite brightly and did some useful defensive work. Unfortunately when we changed ends he didn't and benefited Oldham more than us after the break culminating in a wild shot at an open goal that ended up being a better clearance than any of their defenders could have made. Clarke 5 not a great night, had the ball control of a ruptured truss and the passing accuracy of Ray Charles Sercombe 6 had to do a lot of running and closing down which blunted the attacking side of his game Bodin 5 looked uncomfortable on the "wrong" wing and apart from a couple of moments of class he was subdued and ineffective Harrison 5 boots on the wrong feet and feet on the wrong legs. Won't remember this game with any fondness unless he won the 50/50 Nichols 7.5 best I've seen him play for us, brought the ball down well from awkward heights a couple of times, link play was better and had a ferocious shot on target well saved by their keeper. Still drifts in and out of games too easily though
Gaffney 7 one of the few in form Lines 6 with that wind it wasn't a night for his long raking passes anyway but his presence bucked up what was a misfiring midfield Telford NOLE bright in a cameo that suggests it is time we saw more of him and less of Moore
Crowd 6 attempted Saturdays heroics but the team performance gradually spread to the fans too. Including mirroring the late rally. Ref 3 memorable for his previous woeful officiating, cemented his reputation as an understudy for coco the clown Oldham 6 had more than enough about them to suggest their stay at the bottom of the table will be short lived

Smith 3 Should have done better with the first 2. Poor positioning for the 2nd one.
Leadbitter 4 Struggling to see what little he offers other than pace Lockyer 6.5 Reads the game well and some great diagonal balls in the first half. Sweeney 6 Some great diagonal balsl in the first half, scored in the 2nd. Brown 5
Moore 6 Our best player in the first half. Crossing was superb. Looked more like the Byron Moore we have become accustomed to in the 2nd. O. Clarke 4.5 Overrun in the middle and didn't influence the game enough. Sercombe 5.5 Overrun in the middle. Lot of huffing and puffing but little end product. His worst performance for us yet. Bodin 5.5 Very ineffective for Billy although did get an assist.
Nichols 6 A bit Luke James-esque at the minute. Playing well with not enough impact on games. Great touch to bring the ball down in the firsthalf. Harrison 6 Worked hard. Growing on me.
Subs: Gaffney 7 Did well when he came on and got his goal. Lines 6 Did better than what we had in midfield. Telford NOLE
Crowd 6.5 Very good at the start and early on but got quieter as the game went on. Ref 6 I actually think he was alright on the whole. What is this thing all our fans have against Brett Huxtable? I've seen a lot worse. That being said, he lost the plot at the end with their player led on the ball. That should have been an indirect free kick to us. Oldham 6 Didn't think much of them but they looked better than their league position.
Reflection Oldham undeservedly went 2 up and I think it was a bit of a freak game on the whole. We showed great character to get it back to 2-2 and that didn't suprirse me at all which speaks volumes of what DC has built here. I'm writing off this one as a bad day at the office.

Smith 2 Alias Roos and Puddy
Leadbitter 4 Couldn't cope with their winger Lockyer 7 Best defender Sweeney 6 Improving slightly + a goal Brown 5 Defends ok but the overlapping seems to stutter.
Moore 5 Put in some decent crosses first half then the effort vanished. O. Clarke 4 Didn't notice him, when's the Beard back? Sercombe 6 Best of the midfield Bodin 5 Flashes of skill
Nichols 5 Needs a goal Harrison 5 Plenty of effort but not direct enough
Subs: Gaffney 6 Knows where the net is, why not start him. Lines 6 Made a difference straight away Telford
Crowd Came awake after the equaliser, pity the team went to sleep. Ref 4 Not to bad for a Conference Ref Oldham 6 Bottom of the League, why us.
Why DC started without Partington, Lines and Gaffney I don't know. And Smith, he can't be first choice surely.

Smith 4 clearly not fit with one afternoon training
Leadbitter 4 he is clearly out of form Lockyer 6 best of bad bunch at the back Sweeney 5 I think he is struggling to live up to last season's form Brown 4 poor needs a rest
Sercombe 5 struggled O Clarke 5 very average performance Bodin 3 never got in the game Moore 6 MOM first half anonymous second Harrison 6.5 battled well Nichols 6.5 looked better
Gaffney 6 Telford 5 Lines 5
Ref 5 Crowd 6 affected by the shocking weather D.C. 6 should have rested a few more Oldham 7 out run us in midfield
Did well to get back in it but then should of at least got a point. Early days but we are shipping goals again and need to do something about it. Again the transfer business has been lacking as we only have two youngsters to challenge the two centre backs!

Smith 4.5 I was never happy with him at the start of the season and, even allowing for being ring rusty he should have stopped first two goals. Leadbitter 4 a shadow of the player he was last season,Partington,James Clarke and Bola should be ahead in the queue now Lockyer 6 the best of a shakey defence Sweeney 6 good to see a goal from him but still not up to last seasons form Brown 5 seems ponderous and gives his player too much room. Moore 5 a decent first half,a dreadful miss early in second half and rightfully subbed. O. Clarke 5 annonymous Sercombe 5.5 off the pace, missed Lines alongside him Bodin 5.5 playing him on the left nullified his threat and did Oldham a big favour Nichols 5 a couple of decent touches but not the game or the conditions to suit him. Harrison 5.5 should have scored in the first half, worked hard but to little effect. Subs: Gaffney 7 M.o.M he kick started the team into action,i just dont understand why he didnt start the game. Lines 6 improved the midfield but didnt look fully fit after Saturdays injury. Telford not on long enough but surely he deserves to start a game. Crowd 8 although small in numbers turning up on such an awful night deserves a good marking Ref 5 bottled out of the 'lying on the ball' incident late on but otherwise just about average Oldham 7.5 played the conditions better than us and looked a decent side.

My own opinions on the game:
Smith 3 Irrelevant of whether he was fit, I have to mark him down for the first two goals
Leadbitter 4 Off the pace, but did support attacks going forward and won the free-kick for the equaliser Lockyer 7.5 Another really solid game from him Sweeney 7 I've been critical of him in recent weeks, but thought he was solid and he played more long balls that actually found a man. Convinced the equaliser was an own goal. Brown 6 Didn't seem to have much trouble on his flank
Moore 7 Our best player in the first half, completely different from every other time I've seen him. He was incisive, ran in behind, took men on and put in some good crosses. Put in a defensive shift as well. Faded in the second half and should have hit the target with his final touch. O. Clarke 5 Overrun in midfield by Oldham's three. Drove forward and couple of times, but was crowded out too easily. Sercombe 5 Same as Clarke, the worst game I've seen him have so far Bodin 4.5 Anonymous on the left. Good assist for Gaffney, coming off the right.
Nichols 5.5 Worked hard, some nice touches, decent shot but it hasn't quite fallen for him yet. Received the ball with his back to goal a lot. Harrison 5 Should have done better with a couple of chances.
Subs: Gaffney 7 Another well taken goal, but thought he came wide often when he came on. Couple of times we had no-one in the box for crosses. Lines 6.5 Swung in a good free-kick for the equaliser Telford 6 Ran a lot but didn't get any real opportunities for me to form much of an opinion yet.
Crowd 7 Thought the crowd was up for it more than usual in the first half. Ref 5 Was doing okay until that bizarre last minute incident. He bottled it and went to ask the linesman what had happened right in front of him. Oldham 6 Solid side that probably edged us more due to tactics than any outstanding individual performance.

Love to be there when in your worder he does something
