tbone has gone again then after a lot of criticism about his response to mehewmagic.
Good.
Disgraceful and cynical way he used his mother's death to get a rise out of a fellow poster.
I also lost my mother 14 years ago, but would never ever use that fact to try and make a harmless joke look embarrassing.
A bit controversial, I know, but it made me angry.

I lost my mum about the same time, March 2004, and am more conscious of these types of comments. It depends on context and this one was fine, both the style and who was making it. I did feel uncomfortable when another poster tried it some time ago as I felt he took it too far in subsequent posts. |
