I don't make plans for the day either, cause then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around the courtroom.

What the duck was that about? Linesman puts his flag up but the ref overrules it.

I must admit i'm getting p*ssed off at the defence now. We've dominated this game, by far the better team, Pompey there for the taking. 1st shot on target.... 1-0

Sounds like we're unlucky to be losing 1-0 at half time. Hawkins' first goal for Pompey since joining at the end of August and also his first since February.

So disheartening to play so well this half only to go into half time 1-0 down to a scrappy goal by a team who has been largely non existent in midfield and attack

So frustrating. The number of times over the last season or so when we have been well on top without scoring and then give a goal away.

No it isn't That's just an arbitrary stat that you've based your opinion on, and that highest attendance was in 1949! Does it not matter that Southampton now average over 10K more or that they are two divisions higher? The general consensus of what size of clubs are based on is trophies won and general history. Hence why Real Madrid are generally considered the biggest club in the world. The 2 biggest clubs in England are United and Liverpool. Why? The biggest clubs in Scotland are Celtic and Rangers. Why? AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Ajax etc are considered the biggest clubs in their countries. Why? The fact that Portsmouth have won more major honours, even in the last 10 years than Southampton and have a far bigger record attendance means they are a bigger club historically. Also when Pompey were last in the 2nd tier they averaged more than Southampton despite Southampton being in a shiny new stadium. As I've already mentioned the current league a club is in has no baring on size of club. Bournemouth are a league above Leeds, Wigan were 2 leagues above Leeds not so long ago, are they bigger clubs? No. Are Burton a bigger club than Blackburn? No. Are Fleetwood a bigger club than Luton? No. Anyway let's agree to disagree. Yes, but in all the cases you have mentioned above, those clubs remain either the best or amongst the four or five best teams in the country! You are not comparing like with like as Pompey have sunk like a stone. Are Huddersfield bigger than Spurs? Villa bigger than Chelsea and Man City? Could go on with countless more examples. The size of a club is clearly dependent on a large number of factors and open to interpretation. Like you say, let's agree to disagree.

I don't understand the surprise. Dominating games without a centre forward isn't a recipe for success.

Story of the season. Playing well but losing. Not exactly - Bradford, Wigan, Posh, oldham ...... don't think we deserved to win any of those.

Injustice to be 1-0 down. Let's channel that into an even better second half performance. Plenty to be optimistic about.
