Might as well share the rumours I've heard that it was holtby who tipped off Chris Browne about the UWE collapse. As any good rumour is about 8th hand and probably bullsh1t but is this why people have a conspiracy theory about his new role and on the way out? Not true, willing to be a witness if required. Which bit is not true the tip off or him being on the way out ? Something has happened that we will probably never know about ! Heard stuff about mates rates and in through the back door

Heard stuff about mates rates and in through the back door The first sentence. The rest is piffle. If mates rates is looking after those willing to sponsor on a regular basis then that is good business as far as I’m concerned.

Some potentially libelous stuff being written here.
Would advise against it unless you have proof of actual wrongdoing.

at the end of the day. what does it matter. We've made a decision that we think will improve the way the club is run.
Move on.

If it didn't have legs then there would be no news regarding it whatsoever. Its not news it's a statement to end the speculation you stirred up in this thread. You've embarrassed yourself mate but don't worry it happens to us all. In fairness to Gas Go Marching In the majority of speculation has been on the App Facebook page, and also the We Want Holtby Back Facebook page. I don't really understand why the club were expected to issue a sensitively worded statement to tell us that the Stadium Manager would be spending a bit more of his time managing the stadium. People who were in the Exec Boxes on Saturday said that Ian was laughing and joking with guests, so, if he was unhappy, he seems to have made the adjustment quickly.

"With the imminent training ground developement entering its next phase" Interesting... Yes its only on forums that the training ground isn't happening. In the real world it is in the gradual process of being completed and prepared for. The same as its only on the forums that Ian Holtby is on the way out .In the real world his job has been focused in a certain direction.

"Ian is a devoted Rovers Club man and certainly after 18 years of loyal service, someone that is not, as some might have perceived with his appointment in a new role, a loyal member of our team, that we would wish to discard." What does that even mean? Depends if you're pro or anti our owners. It either means 'my goodness he's a top fellow and loyal member of our team, what utter cr*p to say we'd get rid of him' or it means 'were getting rid of a loyal member of our team'. Hope that helps.

At the very least all this is taking away from the limelight the fact that we have a team not performing too well in the third division of English football while our nearest rivals are progressing well towards the TOP division of the English league - more things to worry about than who gets to compare hospitality I suggest

We must be the only club ever to be forced to release a statement regarding somebody no longer being allowed to server diner. No wonder we often get called tin pot

People complain we are tin pot and when the club try to improve, some fans throw their toys out the pram. Club have to 'defend' themselves against accusations/constant questioning of the trivial and we get a statement on it, and people think that's tin pot
UWE falling through seems to have pushed a few over the edge into lunacy

It reads like a dictated (both senses of the word) statement typed by someone held hostage.
Was a non story at first. 'Employee asked to take on new responsibilities SHOCK HORROR' Then became a story 'cos all the chums made it so.

I'm at a loss as to why so many people need to get involved in other people's business.
We're supporters of a football club and shouldn't feel the need to create such a palaver over somebody's job role.
Ian is a passionate gashead, who is in the great position of working for the club he loves. He appears to do a bloody good job at home games and enjoys himself away.
Our problems are surely when the regeneration of the Mem will take place, why we are shipping goals for fun at the back, and why our strikers can't score enough goals, not whether or not Ian Holtby is introducing Bobby *ing Davro whilst MC ing, or pouring the bloody gravy over your beef! Ffs.

Unfortuantley it’s the beginning of the end for Ian Holtby, knocked off his perch by a high flying young professional. Demoted role and banished to work from the corner of the car park.
He’s obviously behind this Facebook petition group, rounded up some of his cronies to kick up a fuss.
The club have probably taken legal advice and released a statement to calm the situation in case of a future employment tribunal.
If I was in a similar situation I think I would be looking at the job pages.
Stadium & Traning Ground Manager in charge of a non league knackered ground and training pitches rented from an insurance broker.
Time to move on lads
