That's a strange assessment, he was on the pitch for 8 minutes and managed to miss a penalty. DC is persisting with him because he so wants him to do well (which we all do), but Telford is in form. It is as strange as Harrison getting the nod ahead of Gaffney for so long this season. Nichols and Harrison may be "playing well", but we need goals from the guys up top, I'd have Gaffney and Telford starting every time at the moment, Harrison and Nichols would get their 20-30 minutes from the bench and grab something at some point in stretched games / against tired defenders / as we commit men forward. Whoops That's a really attacking move by the manager take a striker who has scored twice in a few minutes off and replace him with sinclair |

Yes. Ellis should never be starting  I stand by Gaffney should start ahead of Harrison, when it's a choice between the two, look at their goals to game time ratio this season. He scores again... but lets remember it's Northampton!!! Regardless of goals scored, Ellis is arguably our best player so far this season. Gaffers is doing really well too. Happy days! |
