I'm very much looking forward to seeing the clubs plans for this, I'm in the same boat as many here in that it feels like they are winging the whole thing and trying to figure it out as they go along.

Don't think there are any actual plans. Many years ago,Geoff Dunford told us at an Open Day that there were plans to extend what we call the Dribulid stand the whole length of the pitch and around the South Tent end but nothing ever happened.Think the roof over the Blackthorn end and another tent is all that's happened. Don't hold your breath Guys. The Mem will be exactly the same 12 months from now with no creditable upgrades. The other Bristol team must be laughing out loud.Fans have been very patient.DC must wince.Any of these so called 'PLANS' should have been drawn up during the wasted UWE consultations as plan 'B' not starting yet again from scratch.Just wish they'd come clean and be up front.

From the supporters club AGM last night it was revealed the Mem will be redeveloped stand by stand. If you were put in charge of planning this what do you think is the most sensible way to carry this out? Also I don't know if this was asked, but does this mean the pitch will be staying where it is? Aside it wont happen

Blackthorn 1st, big stand over clubhouse but move it back 4 - 6 metres so pitch can be moved north to make more room at tent end which would be next. Then East stand (huge with boxes and changing rooms etc under it). Then West stand last. Blackthorn most problematic as where do those fans go during works If it happens then I hope they do blackthorn last because I want to enjoy standing on a terrace for as long as possible. I'd be quite happy if they did three sides and left blackthorn as it is with just new clubhouse / bars toilet facilities etc.

As I assume that either the Blackthorn or Dribuild Grandstand would have to be demolished first so that will probably mean a 25 to 33% reduction in ground capacity for a season or two? Say 3,000 fans at £20 per match is well over £1m income loss per season! Although I'm sure at the death it was suggested that we could build stands one by one for the last Mem re-development plans, did that involve turning the pitch around, so the present West Stand would then become a stand behind the goal or was that the previous plan?

That's why it would make sense to build the first stand behind the East Stand. If you build it, you could then pull down the old one in front of if without compromising capacity. You can't do the west or south stands first as there isn't the room and both will need to be closed. You could start with the North Terrace but that would have the biggest impact on attendance so is unlikely until at least one other is done unless we move out for a season to get started?

I am not sure what each stand holds. so unsure about east and west stand. But i would propose the tent end would be obvious, not always full and is overflow for away support. Second i would do the East side, which would be the biggest of the rebuilt stands as you have the car park. Third, i would do the West Stand. Finally Thatchers end.

Is the west stand length about the same as the width of a pitch? Build behind East Stand. Demolish main stand and turn pitch freeing up south to build and then North. This would depend on one thing. Is there time to knock down old east stand and turn pitch in close season?? Or Move pitch North so south stand can be done first. Modern version of Loftus road will suit me

Yeah, if you did an 8,000-9,000er in the car park, you wouldn't need to go stand by stand, you could just rebuild the rest of the ground in one go around a moved pitch.

I'd like to see one unbroken stand behind one of the goals for home fans. Similar albeit smaller than the one Spurs are building.
