Out of interest which other Div 1 club spent £500K+ this summer on transfer fees? We might not have a top 6 budget but DC's probably got a top 10 budget which is most likely the best any Rovers manager has got since we've been back in Bristol. Regardless why rest Leads & Harrison tonight when we needed a decent performance. Most pundits say £100-150k sercombe,£250-300k nichols at most £450k and we know we got £300k for taylor! Dack cost blackburn £750k and its reported marriott cost peterbro £500k from luton but most transfers are undisclosed. Dc thinks his budget is nearly mid table but then again hes the only manager working with a large number of players who have gone up 2 divisions in a short space of time. So two clubs spent more, which hardly suggests the owners arent backing DC plus surely it was DC's own choice to offer the likes of Sincs & co new contracts. I wonder where we'd be if DC/SH had signed a decent DCM instead of Sercs and a striker who'd now scored 10 goals and just retained Monty who never really let us down. If Bodin had kept fit we might even be top 6 - small margins!!
