Deffo hence the sh** stirring, dont trust the guy at all If we all know him, and (other ex directors) are sh** stirring (Then so must the powers that be) , why doesnt Wael boot them out / politely ask them not to attend the Mem ? Should have done that when they bought the club.

Some bloke on facebook claims Ed Ware is trying to get us to swap the mem for uwe “Your all wrong and ed is a great guy who loves the club What ed has put forward is true in parts but it would be a turnkey stadium in exchange for the mem and student accommodation at UWE the stadium would belong to current owners Not ed or the Chinese hope this clears things up” States Ed is on holiday and will mention it on his return Where this been posted on Facevook as there's nothing on the BRFC Appreciation page? If there's any truth in this I don't get how EW can build a stadium, I assume to the present pp so costing £30/40m?, and then hand it over in exchange for the Mem site which must only have a value of £15/20m tops? Plus what do the UWE get out of the deal in the long term, similar terms to those ALQ's have already dismissed as not being viable? It was definitely on there. I screenshotted a couple of the posts but not then. No idea how to post them on here though.

I Know olle clarke well and can confirm he's been paid his months wages. now stop talking poison. Got any facts to back that up? A picture of you both together with today's paper and a copy of his wage slip should suffice.

Marcus in his interview today says 'it's been a difficult week for the club with certain things going on behind the scenes'. Seems to be the first clear statement that something is going on and all is not well. There’s always things going on behind the scenes in any football club! This forum has turned to rat sh**. I’m off for a few months

Should have done that when they bought the club. Part of the deal was that they were all made Life Vice Presidents which gives them free entry. Higgs refused to make GD a Life Vice President but Wael corrected this soon after the takeover.

You shouldn't suppose that you know what's in my mind.
Also it may be worth reminding remind you that we were paying transfer fees in the late 90's, just before experiencing the worst decade and a half in the club's history on the pitch. We were paying transfer fees in trollope's last 2 years at the club, which was just before 2 relegations that put us in non league. Pretty sure we had record wage bills during those periods, too. Spending money isn't everything, if others around you are spending as much, or more.
Anyway, none of those items you mentioned tell me anything about the proposed deal with UWE.
The owner of the football club said it was not a good deal, so guess what it wasn't a good deal! If it was he is a good business man and would of done the deal! It really is that simple. he employed top people in their field to take care of this... i will take their word over yours or any other keyboard warriors on here, i know that much. What would he tell us if the owners could not or would not finance the project even though it was a good deal? Answer= it wasnt a good deal.

The club need full control of the site , a mem rebuild is fine in the medium future but once initial ambitions are reached it becomes a hinderance due to limited capacity. However ,a new build at the UWE which would allow expansion if ever required would be good. The thing is Rovers have to have control as we have seen with Swansea not having complete control can be a hinderance. Swansea after all moved into a 20,000 stadium whilst in league one and due to good progress they found them selves in the premier league. Now however the capacity isn't enough but they don't have the say about expanding it. They can ask....but might not get. The IDEAL stadium is one that is 1) 20,000 to begin with. 2) Can be increased easily to 30,000 if required. 3) Has the capability to hold a 50,000 stadium should long term success be acquired. 4) A final 80,000 capability if they became Champions league established. Point one is essential all other points would be nice to consider and plan for . However a rebuilt Mem with good facilities and a 20,000 capacity would be fantastic. I just hope any new stadium is not an atmosphere free and characterless blandocity A real fans stadium has a PROPER home end with a low roof. The flaw with this is that if we win the champions league we will need a 100,000 capacity so we should factor that in imo.

What would you have posted if Dwane really could afford it and it really wasn't a very good deal for the club? The problem as i see it is that there has been no proper explanation of why the UWE collapsed after all the positive "landing lights" stuff which has created doubts, not helped by the loose talk about the budget and training ground. Everyone knows we need a new ground with commercial outlets onsite and some supporters feel maybe the UWE was the last chance of that. Ive got to persuade myself to trust the owners to see the new ground project through and im finding this difficult. Im not keen on the cryptic in the know clues from certain people but i cant just trust our owners words. I need something substantial to happen in the near future to be convinced that were in safe hands. The stuff swiss gas put on the other forum also caused me concern.

In the real business world, if a plc announced it had pulled out a a major acquisition with no detailed explanation, and had stalled expansion plans for ill-defined "tax" reasons, the speculators in the City would start gossiping.
If, subsequently, rumours started circulating of creditors not being paid and of a consortium led by an ex-director who wished to reactivate the original acquisition and make some financial offer to the plc, the gossip would spread to the news media.
If the plc maintained a stony silence about all of this, despite grumbling discontent from shareholders, the share price would plummet, investors would demand a statement from the Board, there would be calls for the CEO to explain or resign, and the consortium would rub its hands in glee as they saw the cost of their possible takeover plummet.
Luckily enough, this is a small football club we're talking about here, so none of this will happen.

To be fair, in a fantasy world, if a princess got kidnapped by an evil wizard who planned to feed her to Dirgenil a monster that lived beneath his invisible castle the wood pixies would start gossiping. If, subsequently, the wood pixie rumours reached the king of the elves, who was in thrall to the wizard they might send Lorflas the Elven hero on a quest to find Glamthang, the sacred sword that was prophesied to kill Dirgenil. If the wizard summoned swamp demons with his magical amulet of Necrotus to attack Lorflas on his quest, and then sent the dragon Urrengul to head him off as he tried to cross the Pass of Horgusfeer, but then Lorflas remembered the magical spell that Andriel the Elf queen had taught him when he rested in Llorendien, then he might make it to Glamthang and begin the next part of his quest, crossing the desolation of Fristenfol to summon the Warmaidens of Grittenhalle. Luckily enough, this is a small football club we're talking about here, so none of this will happen.

You've brought together The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and The Smurfs quite nicely there

In order to build a stadium, capital is required.(£40m?) Certainly more than E Ware has. So who will provide the capital for say two years whilst stadium is built and what return would the lender require? Nothing? do not believe that. So that is the first profit take out. And who will actually own it? and what rights of income would they require? second profit take-out opportunity. And in order to move into the turn-key stadium, DSports would GIVE away The Mem? (£20m) third profit take-out opportunity. And are we saying in return for fronting £40m stadium build EW builders would have £20m Mem which would have to be knocked down in order to build houses and make a profit - rather expensive houses for Horfield area? There's 2 or 3 threads running on the forum on this topic, on one of them it's suggesting Chinese money will build it. More rumours

Were a couple of wins from being in a very good position! even being on this "bad run" I agree but it’s not a bad run though is it. If you look look at our last 3 seasons under D.C. we’ve always been crap in the cups and done well in the league. This season is no different. Even our recent league form is 6 games 9 points - 9th in the form table. We’ll probably lose tomorrow but I fancy us to win our following game which will keep us Exactly where we are - mid - table. Crap seasons are what the bottom four clubs are having and we’re 6 points off of that and before any of the slit your wrists posters jump in with “ if we lose our next three we’ll be in trouble “ well if we win them we’ll be flying so put your razor blades away stop your whinging and get behind your club and stop causing unnecessary misery negativity.

I’m only still here because this forum has pretty much always been quality and I’m determined to stay here and have my say and do my best to stay positive realistic and shout down the people who are being needlessly pessimistic and trying to bring our club down. Our club hit rock bottom not so long ago and I believe that forums like these do hold weight in terms of a football clubs morale and ambition for the club and it’s supporters.
