Could still go up could still go down , will probably finish mid table. A mid-table finish this year would be a very good achievement in the circumstances, a far better achievement than last year when we had Taylor for half the season, Bodin for all of it and were still riding the crest of a wave. Those two are both worth over a million pounds in today's market so they were always going to be nearly impossible to replace given how little we got for them. The squad as a whole is also gradually being rebuilt. The job DC has done for us over the years is nothing short of outstanding and I expect there will be lots of interest from higher clubs to take him at the end of the season. DC done a great job rebuilding this football club, that’s for sure. He will be in hot demand if we put a run together and get to playoffs. If we get a good tally of points we might just creep into the play offs. A good run of 10 games could see ourselves within touching distance of play offs. We have a track record of doing well in second half of season. A few more victories and we will be above the pack just in front of us. All aboard!

If this is good enough for Manchester United it’s good enough for us.
Winners do not set low targets and meet them. Winners set high targets, that might appear unachieveable initially, but keep on aiming high.
We must set high standards. The best will join us then. I always wanted to be part of winning teams. Don’t we all.
“We have set very high standards - winning three trophies in one season - but those are the standards I expect my teams to aim for," Mourinho added.
"We are creating the conditions for a brilliant and successful future for Manchester United. I love my players and it is a pleasure to know that we are going to be together for at least the next three years."
Could still be a big finish for the gas.

And only 6 points off the relegation places so have a bit of perspective. You clearly have never read Rich's posts in the past, perspective never features very highly! Whilst were are on a decent run at present we are still 10 points behind 6th place, the same as where we were before the game started and, as you say, only 6 points off relegation. What should be considered is that if Rovers make the playoffs it will because they will hit form and keep it. Losing form will see them fall short. If Rovers hit the playoff positions late and in form they will win the playoff matches and get promoted. Now that would certainly make the "it takes time" when concerning the stadium become a redundant phrase. As there will not be time . All terrace areas after the 3 years will be closed for matches. So if D.C. wants to move the agenda forward, promotion will achieve that

Easier said than done though. If D.C. wins promotion with this budget after what he’s already done for our club that truley would be groundbreaking, although in my eyes the mans already a legend for turning our club around from our darkest times to one of our best in a matter of four seasons. It’s possible , win tomorrow and we could be closer to the play offs than the drop with 48 points left to play for. There’s a hell of a lot of football to be played yet.

The bus is getting busy. I think we are on our usual end of season run. Never too late to buy tickets on this journey.

Yeah we're swapping places with Bradford - trouble is there 3 or 4 others with the same idea With the game in hand over Bradford that gap is looking pretty do-able. We're 5th on current form. Keep it like that and we can overtake the rivals. Probably in the 92nd minute of the final game.

Can we think it’s possible too?

So here we are. The morning after the night before.
Here I am sat quietly on back of bus thinking about our prospects for the rest of season. I can see some commotion at front of bus. There are a trickle of fans jumping on and thinking that despite the difficult journey the wheels of the bus are not falling off but going round and round with increasing confidence that this could be our year.
Now I have had time to think about it and look forward to our fixtures list, the future looks bright. Cracking set of games to come. See below - Present positions next to club. If I was in the dressing room I would be looking at these two chunks of matches and would now be thinking the unthinkable. We can beat teams around us and below us. 1st set of matches - be ground breaking to get 15pts. Bus would have a convey if that happened. Lets be calm and say 12pts. The second set of matches. Most look winnable. Let’s say we get 15pts.
We have a ground breaking target of 33 pts in front of us. We could lose a few. We could get 27 pts with luck on our side. If we do April will be a month to remember.
So starting next week. If our run continues and we burst the Shrewsbury bubble this bus my friends will be packed.
The players are now on a run, with confidence high.
Is there any reason to throw cold water all over the passengers?
Shrewsbury 2nd Oxford Utd 12th Rochdale 23rd Wimbledon 15th Scunthorpe 4th
Wigan 1st MK Dons 20th Northampton 21st Plymouth 13th Peterborough 8th Bury 24th

All this talk of playoffs is funny. If we lose our next game all of the doom&gloom merchants will be back out saying we’re going down

Hey Rich,
What do you make of this - hope it doesn't cause your bus to stutter and splutter but couldn't resist :
We're pretty much 2/3 of the season in so the table is sorting itself out I'm sure you agree.
Our record against the current top 10 is W 3 D 0 L 9 GF 11 GA 28. So I wonder those who say we should only strengthen our midfield and attack might want to change their mind !?
We have lost ALL 8 games away against this lot, so Rich thankfully only Rotherham and P'boro to come away.
Think this record is pretty similar to last season when it comes to playing the top sides ?? Hopefully by the start of next season we can have a settled and stronger keeper/back 4 then we might realistically have a sustained attempt at playoffs/promotion. UTG !

Certainly worth reading. I don’t doubt that if we gain promotion from this position it will be ground breaking. The next few games will help us answer any doubts. Let’s see.
