Ellis has been one of few positives this season. I have to admit I've always found him massively frustrating and felt he probably should have moved in the summer. Glad to be proved wrong and his play, work rate and threat to the opposition now make him one of the first names on the team sheet - in the number 9 position. To suggest switching him to left wing just as he's maturing into a quality league one striker is bizarre.
I did suggest Parts as the holding midfielder in my preferred line up for the Blackburn game, but in place of Ollie Clarke who's been poor this season. Sounds as though OC rediscovered his form on Saturday which was one of a number of positives. Quite a few posters have suggested Lines and Sercombe cannot play together - I agree if that means both central in a 4-4-2 or with Sercs being accommodated out on the left. However, with a 4-1-4-1 Parts can sit allowing Lines and Sercs to play through the middle with less defensive responsibility. The two of them, along with Bodin, are our most creative and technically gifted players and should be fitted in if possible. Bodin and Bola (until a winger can be bought in) to play wide and Ellis up front with the instruction to play within the width of the 18 yard box.

If you think the ref was poor, I had hospitality at Blackburn and the master of ceremonies was a certain Kevin Lynch.
Now who knows why he features in BRFC history?

I think Harrison is banned for next week isn't he? Haven't we just gone past the cut off date for 5 bookings? Think its now gone to 10 for a ban? If so then we should keep the same team. The only think is maybe that this team/formation looks better suited for an away game and not so attacking at home. DC normally prefers to be more attack minded at home but then in the past teams would come and defend. After this run, teams will want to come to the Mem to attack so I think this formation and team needs a run of games now. The only change I agree with is the goalkeeper.

Pretty sure the 5 booking cut off is 30th November - if that was his 5th booking he will miss the next game. Hasn't he already had a one game ban though - so the booking would have been his 6th?
Edit - you beat me to it tommym, whilst I was looking things up

Tillson and Perry got sent off for fighting in first half extra time at a free kick. How could Tillson have got sent off, he's like Gary Lineker, a saint.
Apparently during the second half several of our players tried to get sent off but the ref refused to do that as the game would have had to been abandoned.

Istr Geoff Dunford having a rant about it on the radio. And he got called into the FA to explain himself, calling Lynch a disgrace, or something. And he got off scot free, so the FA effectively agreed with him.

I recall Andy Tillson gettting sent off at the New Den, trip on the loan striker from Newcastle (can't recall his name). They scored from the resulting free kick and beat us I think 2-0
