Notice of Lapse only
The UWE can reapply for Planning Permission under PPS21 but the terms of that don't cover the building of a stadium

Sure it is - why would Alder King do this rather than UWE direct though?

Just a question...and no knowledge of anything....but can anyone think that Pantsdown might have any interest in this? Seems to be expanding his franchise every which way. Or am I being paranoid? Not sure what about though🤔. Can't see it happening. Apparently he's building an indoor arena on the old Mercedes garage by AG for the basketball. He's always said he wants all the teams in the franchise to be close together.

I have always wondered why the UWE have never started to build and use the car park whilst this has been dragging on.....surely you can build and use something in parts? Pretty sure at one point the UWE suggested the car park was no longer required, or at least not a priority. If they ever do build it then I believe it will be the only multi storey car part on the campus. It seems this statement made by the UWE back in August was correct: www-bristolpost-co-uk.cdn.ampproject.org/c/www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/uwe-has-not-given-up-272312.ampSo is it being built for the UWE(unlikely?), Bristol Rugby (possible?) or Rovers?

One of only very few positives that UWE has ever made with regard to this whole sorry saga. Clutching at straws maybe - but the site is still there and nothing else is earmarked for it - apparently!!

How about - UWE builds a stadium, then rents it to Rovers for matchdays only. We sell the Mem for housing, and the proceeds are held in trust to pay the rent (5% drawdown on £15m is £750k pa). All our offices etc are at the training ground.
Thoughts?

And we forget the £12m debts? At 5% drawdown, the trust funds will be gone in less than 25 years at current rates. What then? Remember Coventry.

Why do we try to compare ourselves with that shower of sh&t ?. They are Championship club with a Multi Billionaire. We are just a poor 2nd class LGL 1 club without a pot to water in.... I'm sure if we had their money to waste on sh** like that then we would do the same

I heard he's just building a big vault to keep all his loose change in - like Scrooge McDuck, and outside there's a big mosiac that says "F*ck The Gas".

Interesting, strange and I fear nothing to do with us ..... I feel another kick in the teeth coming our way. Nothing to do with us but the Merchant Venturers Members might give you a clue

It's all starting to look a bit desperate to be honest.

You’ve missed at least one name out . . . Together I suspect this lot have a big influence in Bristol generally and UWE in particular, and may be able to explain why UWE trustees “decided” they didn’t want to proceed with the deal DS put on the table . . .

Would that be Chris Booy, chairman of Bristol Rugby?
