I was going to write something similar. I think expectations have risen so much, coupled with higher crowds etc. First proper run of defeats we've ever had under DC. Quite a shock for many. And sadly that lot over the road near the top of the Championship, in what is basically a new stadium, and having turned themselves around from near relegation last season... well, that and Snakegate just f'ing rubs it in more and makes our fans more depressed / jealous / impatient. Nonsense, they bought the club indicated we were getting. New stadium and training ground and ended up with millions of quid more debt and a new tent. They havent delivered anything other then a bigger overdraft and its damn dissapointing. Sad but true, as much as I would love it not to be

Given he wasn't the only fan at the meal I assume somebody else who attended will call him out if he was wrong, I fear he wasn't though. I was also at the meal today and the Chairperson also confirmed that he had a meeting that day about the plans for the colony and are in the process of finalising them before submission for planning He also stated that the manager has a budget for refreshing the squad in January He also said that looking at other sites for a stadium has not been ruled out I I Can also confirm i did not see anybody in the "Corridors of Power" He also said thanks to the sponsor of the meal as well... I wonder who that was Read into that what you want I'm surprised people haven't commented more on your post, Henbury. Regarding this bit, it again contradicts what was said immediately after the UWE collapse. Did anyone press him on it?

Regarding this bit, it again contradicts what was said immediately after the UWE collapse. Did anyone press him on it? I think you've hit at the core of the main reason for the lack of trust in the board with many people there. The fact that there appears to be no clear and accountable plan communicated to the fans just gives the impression that they have NFI what they are doing going forward and are essentially stalling for time. When you have Hamer privately saying things that contradict what has previously been put across by the Al Qadis then it just puts across a confused, meandering message that gives zero confidence that we are actually going to be in a position to build a stadium (let alone a training ground) any time soon. So are we redeveloping the Mem or not? Because that's what the official line seems to be now - despite originally being told this was not viable and doing a U-turn on that decision. And now MC Hamer tells people we are looking elsewhere? Which has also been previously ruled out to add to the confusion. So as far as I can see either Hamer needs to STFU or the Al Qadis need to communicate a clear and accountable plan for our future. Preferably both. I like Wael, he seems like a great guy who wants the best for the club. But FFS a lot of people are now tiring of the secrecy, the mixed messages that do manage to seep out and the lack of a clear plan or any significant progress on the training ground and the stadium. On a positive note it's a good job DC and the players are back on track!

Higgs end Dunford reportedly had rebuked potential takeovers in the past because apparently it wasn’t in the clubs best interests but then sell us to the ALQs? My opinion is that they were getting the best deal that suited them and not the club at that time , surely if they had the clubs interests at heart then they surely would’ve posed the question regarding any substantial investment in the club and its infrastructure. I would love to know the reasons why we didn’t sell to the American consortium.

Perhaps you should change your username😉

Because they did not exist And even if they did, who is to say they wers a better option? Quite right but either way we will never know, although I’m struggling to see how we could be in any worse of a state as we are now.

Why are people arguing about a sale that didn’t happen?
We just put in our best performance of the season.
This is not a news story!!!!!!

Perhaps you should change your username😉 The so-called American bid was being brokered by someone within the Club - but strangely enough, they never turned up. If you are so adamant that they did exist - name them

Quite the argumentative type aren’t you fella? I really don’t see how me not knowing who they were actually has any relevance to any of it .
