Leadbitter 7 - Good attacking outlet
Brown 7 - Steady but unspectacular
Lockyer 8.5 - Back to his best
Sweeney MOM 9 - Back to the monster of last season
Sinclair 8 - Plays well with the insurance of someone in front of the back 4
Partington 8.5 - Ideal for that position and a good organiser
Bodin 8.5 - Makes such a difference
Sercombe 8 - class act
Gaffney 8 - Brings lots of others into the game
Harrison 8.5 - Be prepared for interest in the window, outstanding
Subs all NOLE
Ref 7 - One of the better ones
Southend 4 - Poor considering the experience they have
D.C. 10 - Spot on with team selection
Apart from 15 minutes in the first half an outstanding performance, only 3/4 worldly saves from the keeper kept them in it. As I have previously stated you cannot play Lines and Sercs in the same team and the use of a player in front of the back four is important as all successful teams play that way. BB will be off to pastures New in January but hopefully we can get some replacement quality in (Montano scored twice today lol). D.C. has learned from his mistakes and hopefully this will make him a better manager. Onto next week UTFG!!

Smith 6 not a lot to do, can't think of a save he had to make Leadbitter 8 another good game Lockyer 8 solid and one great run with the ball beating about three players and a nice pass Sweeney 8 getting back to the player we had last season Brown 7-5 solid and very little got by him Partington 7.5 did his job well and always talking and organising Sinclair 8 disciplined and broke up play hardly gave the ball away, best he has played for me for some time Sercombe 8 another good game and another goal, very good signing Bodin 8 such a skillful player and back on the score sheet Gaffney 8 worked hard and caused them problems and linked with Ellis better second half Harrison 9 as Gaffers, won his physical battles scored a really good goal Crowd 7 Ref 6 Southend 4 One of our best team performances, can't think of any having a bad game |

Smith 7 a quiet game helped by our recent improvement in defence Leadbitter 7.5 fast and hard working,his crosses are getting better too. Lockyer 8 superb game,showed a physical side to his game thats been missing a lot this season Sweeney 8.5 the Beast has returned! Brown 8 good game from reliable Browner Partington 8.5 immaculate game. protected the defence,galvanised the midfield. Sinclair 8 covered every blade of grass, and with Partington behind him was able to influence the game more. Sercombe 8.5 a goal scoring midfielder ,anorher high enery performance Bodin 8.5 Sparkled and gave Shrimpers defence a torrid time Gaffney 8 worked his socks off and created space for others. Harrison 9 MoM Ellis has arrived! I.m eating humble pie, I never thought he'd make it,I'm happy to be proved wrong now we have two reasons to worry as him and Bodin must be on some big fishes shopping lists. Crowd 6.5 decent Ref 7 handled the game ok Southend 4 their team consisted of a good keeper and ten other blokes dragged out the pub earlier! I think even their overweight physio might get a game next week!!! |

Smith 6 Not much to and actually threw the ball out on a few occasions
Leadbitter 7 Good going forward with some good crosses and link up play
Lockyer 7.5 A lot better game than of late done everything required well
Sweeney 7.8 Back to last seasons form A rock in defence
Brown 7 Mr. Consistent
Partington 8.7 Team plays so much better with him in his role, organises everything and is a future captain
Sinclair 8 Who said he cannot pass forward, so much better with Partington playing and as usual was covered a lot of ground
Sercombe 8.3 Industrious, does a lot of dirty work and was classy at times
Bodin 8.8 Getting back to his best and what a goal, and also he tracked back at times just hope the AQs keep him in January and not recoup some of their money
Gaffney 8 Typical all effort display, now just find someone in quarters with the long throws, pity he's not on the end of them
Harrison 9 Just shaded MoM it could have anyone from three Another all round display, Again let's hope the AQs keep hold of him January
Crowd 7 Entertained, with a good team display and again got behind the team
Ref 7 Thought he done well aided by two good assistants
Southend 2 Very poor Did they make us look good and better than we were, as they did not offer anything anywhere Phil Brown may be wishing he went to Sunderland
