Until our owners, give us a proper vision of where we'll be in 5 years, I won't expect Anything to happen. We will still be having these mundane chats about, "where we might be" . I'm totally bored about now. It's who we are 👍 I agree that we need a vision. The owners should provide us with a clear one. I don't think we'll get a timescale though. I remember when they took over Wael saying we will take it season by season, and that he didn't think it was right to say "in 5 years we will be..." etc. He won't mention any sort of timescale on the regeneration for fear of being called out on it. That's fair enough, but he could explain what we are aiming for.

This has been posted on another thread in the forum, I guess the improving facilities comments relates to the new club shop and toilets, if so, I guess we'd better lower our expectations, just the 82er's are raising there's! When the Waq & Nani show rolled into town, l am sure the majority of supporters thought Dwayne Sports were going to build a new stadium not refurbish the mem, and as for Swansea loving Steve, l do not believe anything he says.

Didn't Wael say post UWE collapse "everything will follow success on the field" or words to that effect?

But what business case can you ever put forward for investing millions at a lower league football club, either you take a chance and invest millions and then hope you become the next Brighton, Bournemouth or Swansea and not MK Dons or Coventry.

I think we have the potential to follow those clubs mentioned though. I think we have much more potential than MK Dons do because of our existing fan base. And Coventry made the mistake of not owning their stadium, I feel that’s who we may have become had we gone through with the UWE deal originally set out, so well done to the ALQ’s for avoiding that.

Re Coventry - our situation with UWE would have been quite different though wouldn't it. If we had built on a leasehold basis we would still be in a good position if it was 100 years+. I think Coventry's issue with the Ricoh was that they were renting and prone to being stitched up with increased rental payments whenever the owners felt like it.

Coventry council were trying to charge the club £1m per annum in rent plus revenue share, or something ludicrous like that.

Yep...has to keep within his salary cap. Perhaps a way to increase the budget is to abandon the cheap prices for over 65s. Its been mentioned how many the grey army number , now if they were paying full price that could add 20% to DCs budget.

If adult prices per se matched many other league one clubs, his budget would increase much more.
So that's got rid of the old farts and the adults, now let's put up the kids prices.

Well, having supported the Gas for over 50 years, I have encouraged my younger brothers to do so, my son & now my grandchildren. Now, I don't know how much of their personal wealth ex chairman/ owners have invested in our club, but my Mrs tells me that I have spent ALL of mine on supporting the Gas over the years - so I for one am looking forward to reduced admission next season - so Wael,if you read this forum, ignore the post above please.

IMO it is so clear we need signings that a good Manager/Board would have a few lined up over the weekend to even be available Monday!! Oldham were introducing their first signing at half time yesterday!
