How many signings did you expect before 10am on monday? Have some patience, I'm sure DC is pursuing targets.

Saw DC last night, driving out of Tesco's carpark in the direction of Lidl's, with a worried expression.

He's currently heading over to Nick Higgs house to barrow a 10er to fill the car up, rumour has it he's picking the player up himself.

I reckon most business by all clubs takes place later in the window, moves lead to other moves, more players realise they need to move on, players won't rush into the first deal offered etc. Like everyone I'd love us to do business as early as possible but by far the most important thing is to make sure we get the right people in.

Sensible post, which I generally agree with. Although, business done at the beginning of the window is normally a club's 1st target. Clubs at the end generally are panic buying

Teams around us are already strengthening.
Oldham have made a couple of signings with two or three others lined up, Walsall have made a signing, MK Dons have made a signing, Oxford have made a signing, Bury have made a few signings - two impressive, Northampton have made a few signings, Portsmouth have made a few signings...

DC is notoriously a late participator and i find this very frustrating but being honest i don't hold out a great deal of hope after the poor summer of signings either with DC or the owners. Its going to be a long season in less we make at least 3-4 signings. for me our club do not have much in the way of connections at this level and in that context we are very No0n League.

If I remember correctly Bury had a whole new team signed quicklyin the summer window and lots were holding them up as an example of what to do. That went well for them! 😀 I’m hoping for 2 quality signings either permanent or loans. And before anyone accuses me of low expectations or that D.C. has said 3/4 signings so I’m wrong I think that 2 signings that go straight into the team and improve it could be classed as a good window esp after losing BB. Trying to be realistic. UTG!
