Phil brown will easily get another job in football as hes done a very good job at southend. In a way its very similar to dc at rovers in that he took southend out of league 2 and to a high position in league 1. Now southend have hit a wall and struggled so hes lost his job. Just like rovers there is nothing about southend that screams championship club yet that for some reason is what people demand. Brown took over from Sturrock when Southend were already in the Div 2 Play Off final, then got them promoted the following season, slightly different from DC rebuilding a relegated club and then leading them to two consecutive promotions then finishing in a decent position in Div 1. Although as club's still employ McGhee I guess some lwr leaague club will offer Brown a job. Fair enough,i didnt realise that southend were already flying in league 2 and agree dc has had a bigger job turning rovers around. The end problem is similar though, trying to maintain momentum when your club hits their realistic ceiling.
