Not sure why people are against this... the chance to play league football is much better than reserve football here. When Craig arrives and James Clarke is fit we have more than enough cover at the back. Hope he does well there! We have shipped goals for fun this season mainly thanks to our first choice CBs struggling. We let Burn go because he wasnt good enough so were already a CB short and I would have thought that with Broadbent and Rollin's lack of experience we needed a tidy, experienced CB to come in regardless just in case our two main CBs start having nightmares again...so we let one of those two inexperienced lads go! 2 CBs gone since the start of the season and possibly a full back to come in. Worried. Not like you to have a moan. How do you know there isn't an option of a recall if needed?

An injury or two and we'll be in the sh*t Then we just recall him, where's the harm in giving him some League experience? Extending his contract has just reinforced how important he is to the club too.

Clubs cannot recall a player until the transfer window reopens, the only exception to this is with goalkeepers but he could play in the development squad if we wanted.

Wonder if he'll be starting for Swindon ?? If he hardly plays then not a great experience for him.

Comments from Town fans today: "we won't miss Preston if that performance by Mayonnaise was anything to go by, the man is an utter beast with his Grace Jones haircut" "Mayo, Lancashire and Purkiss were brilliant" "Mayo fronting up head to head with Bostwick a man 4 times his age! " "At first signs, Mayo is a Dam beast!"

I think others have also confirmed that he is gone for the season.

Sounds as if we could have a pretty strong centre back set up for many years to come with the two Toms and Rollin - guided in the short term by Tony Craig, and maybe longer term too if as some seem to think he might become defensive coach when his playing role reduces/ends

Just had a look and Rollin has played in all four games since joining swindle, really is looking like a great move for him and the club!

Yes - I've been keeping an eye on the BBC coverage and Swindle forums. It has worked out well for him in that a first choice CH was sent off early in his first game (when he was on the bench) and so he came on, did well, and has been in the starting 11 since - whilst the other bloke was banned. What will happen when the ban ends (which it probably has now) I don't know. The Swindle forum comments have said he has been immense in some games, a bit shaky in others - but it can only be good experience for him, after all he is only 20 I think and was playing for Weston last year.

Rollin and Broadbean, two excellent signings for very little outlay.Guess we must have some form of scouting network after all.
More Loans out News. The Development Squad defender joins Bishop Cleeve on a youth loan deal until the end of the season.
The move is the second loan spell for the young defender, following a period on loan at Mangotsfield last year.
The Jordanian U19 international will be in contention for Bishop Cleeve's fixture against Cinderford Town this evening.
Everyone at the Club would like to wish Ghassan all the best during his loan spell.

Like you Rod I’ve watched for him and he’s played most matches. In the Channel 5 and Sky highlights he’s done ok. Noticed that in a couple of the matches at Wycombe and Accrington, I think, he was done for pace for two goals. Balls through the middle and over the top when he was out of the penalty area left him a bit exposed. But good for him to get matches at a good level. UTG!

It doesn't matter if he scored today or not....
(As I mentioned on the match thread) the fact that Jeff stelling on sky referred to him as 'mayonnaise' absolutely made my day....
