He will never get that in his caravan. His head or that trophy? I meant his ego.

Dare I say it..? I think this will be a fairly straightforward win, 2-0. Think there will be a fairly big crowd too, think we'll touch 10,000 3 points and things could be looking good for the play-off positions, and should make us safe from relegation.... Looking forward to this game. If we get 10,000 that is only 1000 less than what a top of the championship got last night at PNE You can't knock the PNE crowd really .It was a moderately cold evening and the opposition were not one of the big clubs so nothing to get excited about.
I think Northampton might be 8th in the current form table. Take this game lightly and it will end up a cobblers victory. The team and crowd need to be up for this one from the off.

It seems some are just looking at the table or remembering our 6-0 win October and thinking this will be a walk in the park. Fact is Northampton haven't lost a single away game in 2018, winning 2 and drawing 2 of their 4 fixtures, scoring 8 goals in the process. Bradford 1-2 Northampton Blackburn 1-1 Northampton Wimbledon 1-3 Northampton Scunthorpe 2-2 Norhtmapton Two of those sides in that run are well above us in the table and they comfortably won at Wimbledon where we recently lost 1-0. They'll be well up for this after our last meeting and are in superb form on the road so I'm certainly not expecting an easy game. Aren't they also just on place above the trap door ? They'll be competitive and determined - hopefully we can outsmart them with some slick counter-attacks.

don't get me wrong I wasn't knocking their crowd, I mean it in the way that we get very good crowds

JJ: "Darrell, I made a terrible mistake when I left, and I'm man enough to admit it. I didn't ever dream you'd get the club to where they are now as fast as you have. I want to play in the Championship, and I think you can get there. I am strong, fit and hungry. I can score goals and get you over the line into the playoffs. I want to come back mate. It could be the dream team!"
DC: "F*ck off."

It sounds too obvious for us to win. I think we will but there is a nagging gut feeling that John Joe and Northampton may upset us.

Here we go again so just to be the odd one out but I think 1 . 3. Sorry boys but typical Gas result, just when we don't need it. UTG.

To me Northampton are one of our bogey teams not only because of 3-1 and we effect it up , but also its the only away ground I have had my car attacked

Why would we be counter attacking when we are at home , we should be on the front foot from the first whistle , the best form of defence is attack (unless you are French)

With Northampton having played Bath tonight there may be a few Northampton fans who are spending a sporting weekend in the area.

I don't think there is much cross over to be honest, Northampton is mainly a Rugby town like quite a few in the East Midlands (ish), most wouldn't have much interest in watching a load of also Cobblers.

Suspect today us fans need to be on top of our game from the first minute as expectation from most will be this match is just turn up and win. The argument of fans geeing team up or vice versa aside, don't think we can wait for us to get on top as they are a very different team from the game at theirs. That having said if we are in the mood I fancy us against anyone at the mem (the pitch won't help either side).UTG

All Rovers fans will have that familiar nervous feeling in there gut about today's game, you know that sense of 'We should win this simply because we have a better team than them ,end of, but so many times throughout our long history we are prone to not performing in these kind of games and getting turned over! So come on GAS YOU MUST BE UP FOR IT FROM THE OFF! and come out all guns blazing and we can blow this lot away , pussy foot around , crowd get edgy and we end up with one of those awful games and get turned over! i am not being negative, but i have seen it so many times , so i repeat ,ROVERS you are a better side than Northampton, but you have to prove it on the pitch so up and at em from the off please ,please dont go out expecting to win, make it happen!oh and fans 'please dont give the tool to much abuse until game is won, cos you know what happens ,the villain kicks you in the teeth, so save it till job is done then let him know how you feel,! as for score , our 'A'team will win , but anything lees and disappointment beckons, so i will go down the middle and give us a nervy 1-0 win,!

Charlton are playing Peterborough today if they were to draw and us win we’d go above them both UTG Plymouth are playing Fleetwood away which isn't easy and Scunthorpe are away to Wigan. A massive chance to make up some ground here especially with us having to play Plymouth next week.
